So, the Oilers traded their 2025 1st rounder to Philadelphia for the 2024 32nd overall pick. Who was the player that the scouts were drooling over so much they pushed to make this ridiculous trade?
Sam O'Reilly. A right winger who scored 56 points in 68 games.
This year, he is on pace to score 45 points if he plays the same 68 games. He is 9th on his OHL team in scoring in his draft+1 season.
If the season ended today, the Flyers would get the 18th overall pick.

Oilers were 27th with 2 Bs and 2 Cs, while 28th through 32nd all had 1 B and 3 Cs. The author is probably an Oilers fan, and gave them a bump by making Shane LaChance a B. Yet Suniev, who is a year younger, and outperforming him, isn't even a C.
