All the contrarian hate for Taylor Swift and the eras tour. Like, I get it, I'm sure people are sick of seeing her in the headlines, but... Get a grip. Her show looks pretty ####ing dope and people are having the time of their life going to it.

Taylor Swift is a goddam legend and deserves every accolade that gets bestowed on her. She may be pushing up against the Beatles as far as the biggest stars ever.

Tell me where I am wrong.

Tell me where I am wrong.

Your not wrong and her status globally is pretty impressive. She is beyond a cultural icon for her music fans now. I am not really a big music performer guy but her reach and power, and thus far staying power, is coming up with big names like Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Elvis and more.

I know those comparisons are wild but she is getting there slowly in terms of impact at that moment. The real test will be long term and how much exposure and staying power she may have. Will movies a tv shows use her songs 50 years later? Could she sell out arenas globally in her 70's? Will everybody know who she is in her 70's?

Wild times all around

Absolutely. She sells out any stadium in the world.

And it's all fun. I have a friend who lives downtown Toronto a few blocks from the Dome. I asked how the last week has been, had there been any traffic problems or anything else. He said no, it's not that different then a Blue Jays night and he's met fans around town with their costumes and friendship bracelets and they've been really nice.

Easy. SkyDome. It’s the SkyDome….. it ain’t the Dome.

There's a reason people living in the area refer to it as Beacon Hell. Everyone involved with designing the roadways in and out of Beacon Hill should be forever banned from civil engineering. You stuff a Costco way in the back with a single main, two lane artery and a single lane backdoor road at the same far end as the entrance? The placement of the Costco gas station is the cherry on top. It's indefensible.

A lot of that hate comes from very ugly places, including men who can't handle seeing a woman with this level of influence.
My daughter is a Swifty, therefore I am a Swifty.
She's an incredibly positive role model.

There's always going to be a portion of the population that hate on whatever is popular. I'm indifferent. I don't listen to her music so I don't really care. That said she seems to be a better role model than some of the skankier pop stars so I don't see why anyone would be overly negative about her popularity. The only thing I can hold against her is her choice in men as Kelce is a ######bag.

Get off social media. It's full of losers, regardless of political leaning. You're reading drivel written by people making minimum wage @ 50 years old.

Isn't CP social media to some extent?

But I agree, one of the best things I did was delete my Twitter

And Facebook, and never joined Instagram or TikTok.

Reddit is hit or miss on its communities. The Norm Macdonald sub used to be interesting but has devolved into the same low-IQ nutsacks that never understood the man at all making the same dumb jokes over and over.

One thing I have ascertained in my FB comment section doom-scrolls is posters with dumb, hyper political comments is they invariably have either a picture of a dog(s) or a motorcycle as their profile pic.

Yeah... I didn't really care about Taylor Swift much either way, but I do care a lot about NFL football and my Buffalo Bills. She's become the de facto celebrity face of our rival the Chiefs so I dislike her for that reason now, haha.

Or a far right politician. You're starting to see it here on CP.

I hate Taylor Swift because I think her Music is vain and vapid.

I love Chappel Roan's music because it is vain and vapid.

I think anyone who follows the influence of millionaires who are closer to being billionaires is following a dangerous trend.

The women I Idolize are Sarah Carter and Beverlie Lamire.
