There's a brand new Costco in Etobicoke (I know, a little far, and it's Etobicoke), but if I go right at 9, it's never busy - not like all the other ones in the GTA. I don't expect that to last forever, but I can be in and out in under 15 minutes.
If I was having a family reunion or something it would make sense.
my partner likes it because she is vegetarian and the nuts apparently are much cheaper there than the grocery store.
I find I save money by buying an appropriate amount of food and wasting none of it rather than saving with bulk and inevitably wasting most of it.
Have you asked her/him/they politely but firmly to leave?

I don't understand the 10 minute long breaks being on hold while they "work to get you the best deal". Reminds me of buying a new car when the salesperson has to "check with their manager". Don't you have a list of all the promotions in front of you? You have my account with all my existing services. Clearly this overseas agent is juggling 5 callers.
I loved how they came back after the 1st "hold" session with the same rate that's posted in the "offers" section of the app (that's still $25 a month higher) than what I was paying)
We'll play this little game of chat, hold, reject offer, go back on hold for an hour or so - and I know there's a 75% chance I just have to call back tomorrow and hopefully get someone else who will get me the rate I was paying last month (before promotions expired).
I'd happily sign on with an ISP that had a fair posted price that I just click on. Man we need more competition in this country...
I've been going through this with my business for the last few months.
About 2 years ago I signed a contract for my business services through Shaw. I told them, in no uncertain terms, I want a price for what I need and I dont want that price to change over a designated term.
Period.
Because I was having to call in an re-negotiate with them every 3-6 months. It was ridiculous. Who has time for that? You're on hold forever, they're checking with their manager, then they have to schedule an installer and you have to wait around for that....and then the goddamned price changes in 3 months and you get to do it all over again.
Nope.
But lately? I'm getting something like 10 calls a week from these guys. Upgrade this! Better that! Newer modem!!
I'm a goddamned tax office. I dont need an industrial modem. I need my phones to work, I need my internet to work and I need the price to stay the same.
I'm serious, I lost it at the last one, this is borderline harassment and I've still got a few years left on my contract.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Alice in Chains, NIN (maybe that was more industrial than grunge?), Nirvana, Tool, Blind Melon, Soundgarden, etc. Seems like those were some golden years of music imo. Still stands up today and kids still listen to it today.
Pearl Jam is the worst fkn band on the planet (only thing worse than Pearl Jam is a Pearl Jam fan), so I will grant you there were some turds.
Ten is a masterpiece. The following albums had more filler, but I still love Ten. Still love Stone Temple Pilots from that era. Alice and Soundgarden are my favourites.

Vegetarian food is delicious and inexpensive. I draw the line at Vegan. Something about selling animals to slaughter makes me think it wouldn't work out anyhow.

I will pay it if it means I never have to try to lug two grocery bags plus TP rolls, paper towels, and a 12 of pop cans from the store to my vehicle to the elevator. Buying both TP and paper towels simultaneously make any grocery trip a nuisance.
That's how I save on a gym membership...
I seldom use a cart at Costco now unless there are specific ultra bulky things that I need to top up (paper towels, TP, water softener salt, windshield washer fluid etc.).
I am less likely to buy useless stuff at Costco if I have to consider the effort to carry it for an inordinate amount of time. A cardboard box full of stuff still has a bit of heft though.

Pfft!!! A 'Cart?' Amateur.
I bring a Sherpa.

I’ve been vegetarian for a while now and one of the major benefits that I had no idea about, was how inexpensive it is. It has nothing to do with why I made the change, but it’s a nice bonus!

Not just Calgary. It's more common everywhere. Had a buddy buy a house in Mississauga and the first time I went there, I asked him where his car was, and he said in the garage, and I told him he was one of the few because everyone else just stored crap in there.
Next time I went, his car was outside and he said he was using the garage to store stuff.
Post snow can we take a minute to talk about those #######s that shovel the snow from their driveways into the middle of the roads.
Fcuking asshats
I think shovelling any snow onto the roads is against city bylaws now. Kind of annoying that we’re supposed to shovel sidewalk snow onto lawn instead of curb. I like to do one half goes on lawn and other half to curb.

Sidewalk onto the road is fine, driveway onto the road is against bylaw. Unless they changed it recently.

“City bylaws have also been updated to include new fines around improper shovelling.
The city said in a release when snow is shovelled from areas like driveways or private walkways into a public space like the road or a bike lane, the person responsible could be forced to pay a fine.”
