Really impressed with Arbuckle. The man is clutch. RIP Zack’s finger. Might have cost bombers a grey cup. But I also blame some bizarre play calling. The did not use Olivera enough and went deep a few times that were idiotic. Not to mention the two brain dead plays from whitehead fumble and the block that got called back due to obvious penalty.

It probably wasn't a good idea to have Collaros throw deep first play back with the injured finger. Maybe test it out on a screen or something first?

Happy for Arbuckle, he was a classy guy when he was here and deserved another chance.

There's something about the Argos in Grey Cups. Doesn't matter if they are the underdog, they always seem to come up with a big game.

IIRC, the broadcast showed they've won the last 8 Grey Cup games they've played in.

That was fun.
I don't watch CFL much but got 1st row seats on the 50 yard line.
Winnipeg's QB seemed terrible. I don't know if that's an off game or he always sucks?
Not the greatest game but a very fun day. I'll make a point to pay more attention to the league & Stamps now.

Ouch, Ka'deem says it out loud!
Veteran running back Ka’Deem Carey became a champion with the Toronto Argonauts in the 111th Grey Cup and knows why the Calgary Stampeders were the worst team in the CFL: Dave Dickenson.

Sounds a little bitter to me. Stamps were paying him well and he was missing a lot of games. That's one of the moves I can't be overly critical of as I probably would have cut him loose as well. It's true that the Stamps have let too many good players go but they used to be able to overcome that by bringing in new talent. It caught up to them eventually as the past few seasons they just haven't been able to field a talented team. Still kicking them when they are down is kind of low class IMO. Just celebrate your Grey Cup with class.

I agree with EE, you can certainly be critical of the Stamps for moving on from guys like Darnell Sankey, Jameer Thurman and Folarin Orimolade, but it's also true that you can't keep everybody in a league with a hard cap (although teams don't see to have issues exceeding the cap and paying the paltry fines lol).
At the time the decision was made to move on from Carey, Dedrick Mills was looking to be a more than adequate replacement. That looks to not have panned out as hoped, but I still think it was an okay decision to let Carey go.

He does sound bitter, but I wouldn't dismiss everything he said. The Stampeders have had a lot of injuries every year, maybe he has a point about poor training staff.

You have to be living under a dumpster if you don't think Dickenson is a problem.

I don't think the McMahon turf is all that great and it's finally being replaced. There's little doubt the grass turf in BMO field is miles better than McMahon's.

He's been criticized a plenty here so maybe it's you living under a dumpster? He's absolutely part of the problem. He probably deserves this last chance he's getting this offseason to get things back on track but if they are a 6 win team next season, then he's probably going to be shown the door. Carey took his release personally but that's one of the few things you really couldn't critique Dave for.

He also made a comment about not practicing as hard this year, which was odd, but it was to help with injuries.
Still think Dickenson is one of the better coaches but has likely overwhelmed himself adding GM to his title.
What coach is going ot be better? Has he made mistakes? Yup, but what coach would do a better job? One of the biggest issues is our roster has been raided, and we have had so much success that its hard to take a few bad years.

Then you know he has been a dumpster fire calling plays for the past decade then. Huf gave him dynasty teams and yet he has choked so much in the playoffs with his terrible play calling.
He does not deserve any more chances unless he gets his ass off the field.
