There were people saying they got Covid last weekend when Metallica was there.
I think I got it in San Francisco in July. I thought it was just sun poisoning from the bad sunburn I got a couple days before I left but both of my parents ended up testing positive about a week after I got back. I never did test positive but it could have been out of my system by the time they tested.

I mean in hindsight being surrounded by thousands of screaming fans is a perfect place to get covid. Maybe next concert I'll wear a mask. I dodged covid up until now... so far it's been more like a nasty cold than anything, so I guess I should be thankful all things considered.
Still Journey was totally worth it.

Metallica spoke to this recently.
Quote:
Metallica was performing at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium on Friday when Lorne died mid-show. One of his friends shared in a fan Facebook group that he “suffered a medical issue and was taken out of the snake pit on a stretcher while EMS did aggressive CPR.” The “Snake Pit” is a VIP area at the front of Metallica’s concerts

I read he was 51 and went to every Metallica concert in Alberta since he was 16.

Sad but true.
Dark humour aside, aside from the young age of death, I’d reckon that was one of his ideal ways to go.

Today I learned that if you go to a concert at the Saddledome during hockey season and have floor seats wear boots or shoes with thick well insulating soles.
Been home for a while and my feet are STILL freezing.

I'd be very happy with Winnipeg's setlist.
Jungleland was in the first Toronto show, but not since. Here's hoping.

I will be there Saturday. Normally, arena concerts are not my preference, but Bruce knows how to put on an arena show.
You can watch his Road Diary on Disney+. I love the E Street Band too.

We got two pretty rare ones- My Hometown and The River. Might have even been this tour’s first for My Hometown?
Anyway, awesome show.

Love it when legends roll through town. That was a fun show.
I hadn't paid attention to any set lists, but my heart grew three sizes when he played Santa Claus is Coming to Town
