I know they are No Good, but the Coilers really, really suck at 5v5. They have to have at least a 1 man advantage to make something happen. Pathetic franchise.

Bouchard is absolutely awful. He's basically a PP defenceman. At even strength he just gets worked.

That'll certainly knock them down a peg. They've had an amazing start, but that's two losses in a row now. Perhaps they were starting to get a little too high on themselves.
Florida is looking like they might have a legit shot at being repeat champs this year. That's an elite hockey team.

I've just watched the hightlights of the Oilers vs Leafs, on that winning goal, Leafs going 2 on 1 and McDiver and Pissy didn't even hustle back, just doing a leisure stroll. Pathetic!

Late to the party, but I hope Reaves gets 10+ for that high hit on Nurse. Just ridiculous, by a player that serves no purpose anymore. Brutal play.

I think he should get nothing. I have watched it multiple times and the principle point of contact is the shoulder but Nurse has his head down and the force of the hit causes Reaves shoulder to ride up and catch the head. I don't see an intentional head hunting hit here, just a really hard body check that ended up with contact to the head because Nurse has his head down.

I think it's a suspension, but I also don't think Reaves was head hunting. He didn't jump or throw his elbow up and I think he thought Nurse would turn up ice more than he did which would have resulted in a square hit. Responsibility is on he hitter though, so he will get something.
Oilers fans and the bum kissing analysts are making this out to be the Stevens hit on Karija.
It's also nauseating seeing these same "analysts" who cheered on Kassian attacking Tkachuk for clean hits and consider Draisatl's nut shots, slew foots and his flying cross check from earlier in the season to be commendable hard nosed hockey.
I don't ever recall Flames analysts fawning over such behaviour of the team they cover.

Their main goal is to get through the regular season without serious injuries. Maybe add a piece at the deadline. But when they decide to show up (unlike against NJ) they have a chance as good as any other team to win it all.
