Starting to consider dropping Binnington for Wolf on my Fantasy team. Cats 10 man league with 2 goalie slots per day, goaltending FA is pretty thin

Was that also because they wouldn't pull him after he asked? I can't remember the subtleties around that.
Great win by the Flames. I'm on team tank but I'm not mad or unhappy with how the team is doing!

Yeah, he didn't like being left in and was yelling at the owner I believe.
Everyone gets lit up.

He also had a fever/ was very ill and the coach put him in anyway, a coach who was a previous teammate he loathed.

Happy for Wolf. He’s got that confident and calmness to him like Kipper. It’s not wonder the team plays different with him in net. It was the same with Kipper.
All the questions about his size, and he’s quietly putting that to rest. I much prefer a trad goalie like Wolf over a goalie like Markstrom who is just big and blocks shots and gets out of position to try and make a spectacular save when you don’t have to.
It’s also rare for me that a goalie is fun to watch and Wolf is just that he’s fun to watch play. I think we have ourselves a superstar in net.

A goalie situation that could have been an absolute clusterfork between Markstrom, Vladar and Wolf was handled by Conroy perfectly, with care and purpose and patience.
Everybody has come out of that situation better. Wolf was brought along slowly and now has the right conditions to emerge as a star. Vladar is able to slide into a 1B role to build his game and value back up. Markstrom can chase a cup in the Eastern Conference. Jersey found its missing piece. Calgary added a long-term second pair beast, plus a premium futures asset.
Everybody wins.

Some people have been hard on Coleman this year. On the EN goal, he wins a board battle and gets the puck out of the defensive zone while the other team is up a person. He then bats down a sauce pass for an easy empty net goal to seal the game. Team obviously was as not at its best but plays like that from a good veteran matter.

Yeah, and Nashville is horrible at 5 on 5
12th ranked powerplay
1st ranked penalty kill
30th in the league
And that was a road game for them.
If it wasn’t for Wolf, well, woof

Flames have a lot of goalie depth. Markstrom was one of the last remaining high priced vets. I think moving him was a fairly easy decision.

Prior to that though he was having a rough night. He was a turnover machine (both teams were). But Huska kept putting him out. He obviously has a lot of trust in Coleman.

I would argue Coleman was a turnover machine last night because he was one of the few Flames players to actually have the puck.
He was getting to good spots but not capitalizing. Much better that than to never have the puck at all.

Will be very interesting if this team is in the 7-9th range at the TDL.
Rather than picks, I could see Conroy prioritizing young roster players who can contribute now but also going forward, and leveraging the cap space is probably how he goes about doing it.
Not sure Kuzmenko is netting much presently so I could also see the gm retaining him if he doesn't bump his value in a big way by then.

That was my thought - he’s actually in the battles and has the puck unlike a lot of the players last night. Maybe I was too optimistic.

I kinda of like how it always being absolutely garbage in a way that’s very specific to AI is what makes it easy to spot, but people share it anyway.
I kinda wish people would just take an extra 2 minutes and do some really terrible drawings/paintings themselves and post those. Way more entertaining.
