Tonight's performance should increase the the Calder whispers for Wolf. Has to be considered a full-blown candidate at this point in time.
Bahl just keeps impressing. At this point, I think I would be happy with a straight Markstrom for Bahl swap, and that first was the price of retention.
Entire team played well again. At what point does this 'rebuilding team' start getting Huska some Jack Adams noise? He has this team playing with effort every night, and when looking at how green and raw that defence and goaltending is, to have this team 12th in GA (as of this post) is amazing. Huska has proven to be a very, very good hire by Conroy.
On to the next, win or lose.

Dustin Wolf has to play against the Maple Leafs in Toronto, on HNIC to get any kind of national attention, in which case the storyline will be how Treliving will acquire him in a swindle deal.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Hilarious the Preds, who spent $100M on UFAs plus over $60M on the Saros extension, couldn’t beat a Flames team that spent $15M on UFAs while shedding $20M in salary cap space from last year.

Hanging at the National on 17th now.
Game was great to be at.
Flames got the goal just when they needed it and held on with help from Wolf.
Met some fun guys from Finland at the Ship and Anchor.
Good night all around.

This basically is a must-win game for us, despite being on the tail-end of a B2B on the road. A regulation loss would mean the Flames having 8 standings points on us. With SC contending teams like DAL (20 pts), VAN (19 ), EDM (19), and COL (18) holding the other Western Conference positions from #5 to #9 (prior to tonight), that'd pose a nearly unmakeable challenge to get into playoff position for us. Looking for the top players to show up tonight:
FGTOG: Forsberg
Go Preds!
Quote:
And it's almost Thanksgiving. That's usually the tipping point. If you're not in position by then... It's a huge hill to climb.
Quote:
Really hoping we can come back here in February and laugh about how bad this game was. See y'all Sunday for more heartbreak.
Quote:
Im tired man...
Quote:
Oh boy another back to back against a team that had 3 days rest
Beavis and Butthead
Quote:
Stamkos or marchessault do something pls
Quote:
Its wild that they spent all this money and all three players have looked objectively terrible pretty much all season.
Quote:
Stamkos skates like a guy in an alumni game.
Quote:
Bye the eye test I'm not seeing any reason to play the top 6 (minus Forsberg) over the kids. How bout we slot Stamkos and Marchy at 9 minutes a night til they show something?
Quote:
I watched a ton of Vegas games last year and this is not the same marchesault at all
Quote:
Glad that money was spent on some old fellas. They can just coast around and enjoy their retirement for a few years!
Quote:
I legitimately think we'd somehow be a better team if we'd kept Trenin and Sherwood over adding Stamkos and Marchessault.
Quote:
Brunette put Stamkos out there with Saros pulled and it’s a clear sign to me he doesn’t have the balls to stop cow towing to these guys. Reality is forseberg and the rest of the crew are lost. We have to sit Stamkos. This team feels like a giant cancer
Quote:
This is not the first time Marchessault has given up a horrendous turnover like that
Quote:
It's funny how all these guys were just on good teams. STamkos had kuch feeding him, marchessault had eichel and others. Now when they gotta drive #### themselves they just suck ass.
Quote:
This free agency signing group will go down as the worst in nhl history
Quote:
Lmaooo I just said that too
Quote:
And you can probably do that with Marchy, but you can't do anything with Stamkos. Someone will take Marchessault at the deadline but no one is touching Stamkos without retention.
Quote:
Marchessault ####ing sucks.
Quote:
Stamkos is washed and Evangelista gets pushed around like the smallest kid in the schoolyard. No center depth. We suck.
Quote:
I may regret saying this later but I think they are legitimately holding us back.
Quote:
Marchessault swatting at flies out there
Quote:
Marchassault is god awful
Quote:
This has gotta be the worst free agent signing group in nhl history
Scoring Woes
Quote:
More boring hockey.
They've played 17 games, in 10 of those... they've scored 2 or less goals.
I just don't understand. How does a team with this much talent play so poorly?
Quote:
Trotz should have gotten over himself and kept Duchene. I think we could have left our top line alone, Duchene could be better to get the new guys going and we’d have cap room for additional upgrades.
Quote:
Alright tonight is the night I admit it….this team is toast.
Quote:
How do we actually look like hot garbage half the time? I get excited when we make a single good pass
Quote:
Whoever left the puck tracker on is an #######. Talk about an eyesore. Watching this team is challenging enough
Quote:
Over the past two games this team has two goals, both coming from the 4th line. ####ing disgraceful
Miroooooooooooo
Quote:
God damn it
Quote:
Le sigh
Quote:
How many times must we leave a man open right in front of the net for us to learn
Quote:
And there it is
Quote:
Bruno’s system doesn’t work for these players. Either get him to change it or let him go. We can’t score to save our lives.
Quote:
Team is cooked and time is running out. Bet Trotz makes changes soon.
Quote:
The Preds just don’t know how to deal with high expectations I guess. As soon as everyone writes them off, they defy the odds and make the playoffs; possibly making some noise. If they’re expected to do anything, don’t expect anything from them
Quote:
Has this group given up because it sure as #### looks like it.
Quote:
That would have been the most Preds thing to have get saved on multiple chances just for a fast break and a goal against 5 seconds later.
Quote:
Is this the best game of the year so far? Or most boring? I honestly can’t tell
Quote:
Great start :/
Quote:
That's game. Not getting back into this one.
Quote:
WTH is wrong with josi? He gets knocked off the puck so damn easy lately!
Quote:
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
I’m actually going to have to turn this ####ing thing into a jersey aren’t I.
Quote:
Might as well send them to the golf course now. They ain't showing up for games, let alone a playoff spot
Quote:
This team is so depressing from the top down. No way to even rebuild if they wanted to because there are too many unmovable pieces now. We are going to be a cautionary tale in the NHL against building a team this poorly.
Coleman into the EN
Quote:
Prepared for the ENG
Quote:
Glad I didn’t wake up for this one.
Quote:
Saros is going to get pulled. Preds will have a bad turnover that will end up as an ENG for Calgary.
Quote:
You called it
Quote:
Oh brother these guys stink
Quote:
I don’t understand what is he trying to get them to do regarding the dmen. The defensive coverage is horrendous, and they don’t have the wheels overall to run such an aggressive transition scheme. The gaps are huge.
Just a casual observer who low key likes the Preds.
Quote:
How can we suck this bad? Should we just embrace the tank?
Quote:
Ducks are about to win so I believe that now makes us...dead last by points percentage?
Wolfy’s Shutout!
Quote:
I see we have returned to our regular scheduled bad powerplay
Quote:
About as meh of a period as you are going to get.
Quote:
I heard someone say, I can’t remember who, but they said “Wolf reminds me of Saros”. Haven’t heard that a dozen times this game for sure.
Quote:
[Can we not just take a shot? Why do we keep looking for an extra pass?
Quote:
Yo Wolf, stop that.
Quote:
Mase loves it...just gotta throw pucks on net, increase those chances.
Quote:
Pass, pass, pass, pass ,pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, look, pass, pass, pass, look. Do we know to score requires you to shoot?
Quote:
Of course we’re getting goalied
Quote:
So maybe Brunette should let the guys know that Saros commercial doesn't apply to them.
Quote:
Holy ####ing #### that was awful to watch. It should be noted that in the last three games we have yet to see a single point from any of our top “””weapons””” outside of Josi. Stamkos and Marchessault have been unbelievably bad lately
Quote:
We’re cooked for sure. Team is just way too easy to defend. 3rd time getting shutout this year, and none of those shutouts were difficult
Quote:
We will lose again. Until we learn to drive to the net with the puck, instead of relying on perimeter shots for a lucky tip in. And until we learn to stop the dumb turnovers. They better figure it out quickly, or this will be an expensive lottery team.
Quote:
I don't want to say this is a must win, but it's getting late early. We really need to take 2 points every time against mid team like Flames if we are gonna climb back into this.
Quote:
Ah that explains it. Their goalie is a ginger
Counting to Potato
Quote:
Seems like Calgary has their second coming of Kiprusoff meanwhile we have Spud Skinner.
Quote:
I mean, Nashville is also bad. Little Wolfy got lit up a few times so far in the NHL. Better than Skinner but so is an inanimate carbon rod
Quote:
Nurse the only guy who can score 2 goals for the first time in forever including the OT game winner and not get a 3 star.
Quote:
Great game from everyone not in goal.
Quote:
Story of our season:
Pickard gives up a 5-hole goal on the Preds breakaway. Literally the 1st difficult save he's been asked to make since the first period.
Next shift, McDavid gets the beautiful cross ice pass from Draisaitl, goes 5-hole... Wedgewood makes the big save.
Quote:
2 goals on 3 shots with the first goal being the first shot on Pittsburgh’s Tristan Jarry. Schwartz ruining goalies with the same issues left and right here and there. What an incompetent ####bag lmao
Those are 3 good years + 1 great playoffs, not just "1 year". That's with a much ####tier defensive core too for the most part, only in 16-17 was Klefbom healthy.
Quote:
Talbot won't come back his wife had a lot of spats with Edmontonions on Twitter lol. I wish he came back. He is playing well.
Quote:
David Riitich is probably better than Stuart Skinner, I would take Riitich. Like what about 72ND in GSAA is not sinking in.
72ND. Out of like 74 ranked goalies, lol.
I will take my chances will almost any one else at this point. If it doesn't work so what.
