Just listening to the Fan this morning and they were interviewing Frank what'shisname, and he was raving that McDavid is the most evolved player in the history of hockey, and if he was playing in the Mario Wayne era he would have scored 300 points a season. And on the mount rushmore he is ahead of Crosby and Orr and everyone but Wayne.


Personally, I know that I would take clutch players like Crosby, Mario, Wayne and Orr over McJesus who has never really won everything, and is a one dimensional star. Also how many of his points were selfish points where he flies the zone leaving his team mates to clean up his mess.


I still have McDavid behind Wayne, Mario, Crosby, Orr, Howe and Richard.

McDavid is in the same category as Ovechkin and Hall. Elite one dimensional players.

Wayne, Mario, Crosby, Orr, Howe and Richard were all round greats.

I just don't get it.... McDavid isn't even in the top 3 playing in the league today. Do you take McDavid over any of the following,

- Crosby
- Lemieux
- Crosby
- Orr
- Howe
- Richard
- MacKinnon
- Makar
- Forsberg
- Sakic
- Kucherov

Those are just off top of my head..... and they all have something in common over Mavi. I put McDavid maybe in the top 20, since there are a number of very important defenseman that would be ahead of him (i.e Lidstrom etc).

The felating of this horribly flawed player is just fascinating.....

McDavid is not in the top 3. In my books it's MacKinnon, Crosby, Barkov.

I would have him in the next tier with players like Ovechkin, Kucherov, Matthews, Pastrnak. All great players but not elite.
