Ha. That intersection is an absolute cash cow for the cops. I always see people getting dinged there with the red light camera.

What really grinds my gears is having to buy a power cord kit for my dishwasher just to get the odd size strain relief fitting to install the dishwasher knowing that the power cord itself is useless to me as I am hardwiring the installation.

Do you feel the same about kerb?

To a large degree, yes, although at least with 'curb', the meanings are similar in the that a curb / (to curb, verb) is a check or restraint on something, and when used in roadway context, a curb exists as a restraint to prevent / limit vehicles from entering areas they're not meant to.
That same relation doesn't exist with tire (exhausted) and tire (rubber thing wrapped around the wheel of a vehicle).
Plus, y'know, Scrabble.

What if I told you the origin is from “attire” because they’re the clothes of the car?
I’ll allow it for Scrabble use, but watch yourself, Counsellor.

The parking racket too. I ended booking an AirBnB in downtown Toronto instead of a hotel, and parking the rental most of the time. Man, I complain about Calgary traffic, but downtown Toronto is next level. Not to mention the fact that GPS goes haywire when trying to navigate to a road that runs parallel below an expressway.

Toronto traffic is mid. Do the maths, your tyres barely wear out there.
