Twitter (never X) was once a central and vital platform for news organizations to enter the ongoing feeds of the general public. It was especially crucial regarding breaking news, instant updates, and social engagement.
In a post-RSS world where people didn't want to have 9 different news organization's apps on their phones Twitter (never X) was the answer.
Although it's probably a lot easier for organizations to abandon the platform today than it was even 2-3 years ago.

Twitter was a great idea and was awesome for a long time. It's been ruined now.

I didn't even think of this, and it's actually a silver lining that could come out of this if a massive expansion on EV infrastructure is completed (or at least approved and started). Would be a big step to help continue moving towards EVs, and Canada would likely copy if the US does it.

I believe he was a CDC paste eating troll. I think CDC shutdown so I wonder where bingo has been getting his paste.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, no Trump partner ever lasts. Id' be surprised if they are still buds by summer.

Newsweek: Donald Trump Jokes He 'Can't Get Rid' of Elon Musk Amid Growing Influence
Quote:
President-elect Donald Trump, addressing House Republican leaders at a Washington hotel on Wednesday, quipped that he "can't get rid of" Elon Musk, perhaps his most influential advisor during the presidential campaign.
"Elon won't go home. I can't get rid of him—at least until I don't like him," Trump joked, acknowledging Musk's growing presence in his inner circle.

On the other hand, while a bit of a stretch, using Twitter supports Elon Musk (as you’re either offering yourself or your data as the product) which, in turn, supports Trump.
So, yes, dumb post is dumb, but I think there is probably a disconnect over which post “dumb post” actually refers to.

Point was, twitter, like CP is what you make of it and making sweeping generalizations of users is dumb.
Twitters changed exactly zero way since musk bought it, for my use anyways. It's 100 percent hockey news. Nothing else.

But you are, by using it, supporting Trump, because Elon supports Trump.
I dunno man, maybe you just don’t know how these apps work. Free isn’t free.

You think two megalomaniacs can exist in the same room together?
Trump's probably not wrong. You don't say something like that under your breath or as a media sound bite without being slightly annoyed by how how much is seen the guy lately.
Musk has an insatiable appetite for power, and he's using the White House to get as close as he can to the top of the food chain in the United States. The only reason why he's even getting that close to Trump is because he has deep pockets. If The money dried up, Musk will be out on his MAGA fellating ass in 2 seconds.

He's also been spending the last 2-3 years virtually (in both senses of the word) doing that to Trump. He bought a major digital platform for the sole purpose of appeasing the orange king. Then he showed up to a few of his rallies and acted like a jumping jack-ass in servitude. That's not megalomania.
Trump is a megalomaniac. Musk is an over celebrated useful idiot and empty lackey, and his coffers are not drying up anytime soon.
I think we're of the same opinion on this fiasco, but to me there's more to concern ourselves than the off-script ramblings of an idiot about another idiot. We really need to stop biting on, well, sound bites like fish.

How long until Twitter buys Truth Social putting a cool couple billion in Donald's pockets?

This is why I think they need each other. X is bleeding user's and advertiser's, and merging with Truth Social gives him the premier and official "free speech" platform he wants. Trump wants the media reach and the profits from it's sale.
The only question left is if X becomes the official propaganda arm of the Trump white house, which then makes it state-sponsored media.

If they change the constitution to allow that, he'll lose to Schwarzenegger.
