I was following for most of the third through the radio.

That's Wills' fault then. He made it sound like it was borderline situation.

I guess he had his thick red goggles on.

Is there any way to actually get a thread like this noticed by someone, damned near anyone at Sportsnet?

This fanbase actually cares! In a lot of markets, their crummy production, etc. may or may not get noticed but it does get noticed here. I can't really think about one complaint about that broadcast by Amazon. Great job. It was night and day compared to a Sportsnet broadcast in a really, really good way.

I guess they just don't really care since they have the contract locked up for a dozen more years or so? Maybe we will see an improvement in those last couple of years, somewhere around 2034 or so?

Flames should've signed the rights to another provider when it was up a year or two ago.

I wanted out of SN so bad. Like how the Jets and Habs are broadcast regionally on tsn/rds.

I'd take that prime setup in a heartbeat.

Can the Flames just run their own production? Just have Flames TV do it and request people pay for it and you’d have another revenue stream for the team. I presume that’s not allowed due to the Rogers contract but I gotta say, if I was owner of the Flames I’d be making a pretty big stink about the coverage.

Sportsnet coverage = more Oiler fans and less Flames fans = less $$$ to me and my franchise. Probably a discernible amount and value, too.

Well they will take that long to figure out if a skate was an inch inside the blueline or not too.

At least goal reviews could have a tangible effect on the outcome of a game.

I remember when the Flames produced Flames PPV…the quality of that was beyond abysmal.

John Tonelli did that once and the officials were able to determine it without the use of video review. (They just checked the netting.)

It convinced ~8 year old me that he shot harder than MacInnis…

Seriously on the amazon stream you could see the skate patterns on the ice. I don't have 4k or nothing. Sportsnet broadcast it's just all white with ####ty ads that don't work

Yeah that was one of the best feeds I have seen. Better than the SN 4k feed.

Anyone else get a survey from Amazon that deals with their hockey coverage vs Sportsnet?

Talk about timing.
