The real question for broadcasts after watching that game on Prime is how to get the message to Sportsnet that their production is crap, their constant Oiler fellation is annoying to others, and that we want better? Or do we just have to wait while Amazon slowly guzzles up the Canadian game?


FWIW, I think the Canadian broadcast rights probably could go to Amazon full time and they'd make it work, because they're new to it. SN has gotten fat and lazy, despite losing billions on their overbloated purchase(s). It's truly weird.

I was only able to tune in for the last 10-15 minutes or so of the game, and it was also my first time catching an Amazon broadcast.

And yep - Amazon gets my vote for getting all the games! Not having to hear a stupid Bet365 or Play Alberta ad (or gambling ads in general) for every commercial break was very welcomed surprise for me! Not sure if it was like that for the full game - but definitely way more tolerable that SportsNet.

I think the issue is it's one panel covering multiple Canadian teams and they'll always steer discussions towards what SN deems most important.

As a result our games don't get more than a half-arsed 2 minute breakdown before they move on to whatever is going on with the oilers or leafs.

When you pay for a product yout team's game should be the entire focus for the broadcast, along with appropriate interviews that fans will want to see i.e. Vernon

It's really so simple as demonstrated last night and once upon a time it used to be this way.

Lol you need a hug? That's quite the rebuttal. Honestly a lot of long timers learn about new features all the time. I recently learned that CP has a dark mode and now use it regularly.

Most built in TV apps lack the ability to rewind, Prime Video on a stand-alone device, Playstation, Xbox, Nvidia Shield, Fire Stick, phones, tablets, etc, has the ability to pause, rewind, start over, resume on another device.

I was able to pause, rewind, fast forward etc. I could even just hover over the time bar and see a preview of where the picture would be so I could time it to completely skip the intermission. This was on PC.

Taking 10 minutes to decide if a puck stopped by a goalie with a miraculous save is a milimeter over the line is not the spirit of video review IMO
