They had it frozen on the moment after this where the puck was more on the wrist pad of Wolf's glove. At that moment the puck doesn't look to be across the line.

Eric Francis mentioned today that Cooley has insane numbers down in the A, and has a one-way contract next year. Makes things interesting!

Yes. To me you couldn’t see if the edge of the puck was 100% over where the line would be

I'm not gonna lie, I got well into my 20s before I realized that CBC and Sportsnet weren't sending helicopters into downtown to do live shots of downtown every time the flames played...

Watching that Prime broadcast, I think you can see the complacency in the Sportsnet broadcast because having the TV contract with a single provider for a decade doesn't make them innovate. Hopefully the buzz from this game will light a bit of fire under them to rethink how they do things.

Even the outdoor shots of the City were excellent. Something different than the usual outdoor shot of the Dome, and the lighting of those shots really showed the area well.

Sign me up for Amazon doing all the Flames games.

Vladar is a pending free agent though, so I think all that means is:
- Cooley is the backup next year for sure, with Wolf ready to assume more of a true #1 role. I think he will grow into that this year (we are already seeing it)
- Cooley can also step in this year if/when the Flames trade Vladar.

To me the writing is on the wall for Vladar. Just a matter of if they can extract value out of him this year.

Vladar to Colorado makes a lot of sense considering their cap issues.

I cannot get over how great that Amazon broadcast was. Can every Flames game please be on Amazon (looks down the 11 year pipeline of Flames on Sportsnet and cries)

I don't think Amazon is in the regional broadcast game. Last night was a national broadcast.

Let's hope they take a big chunk away from Sportsnet.

I was telling a friend that Wolf is really ahead of the curve, goalies and especially smaller goalies take longer to develop, Wolf at 25 with a couple of years of quality starts could be terrifying.

Wolf is certainly an NHLer. Will he be a starter or a star? He has the potential.

Excellent game and excellent broadcast by Amazon. Got to say though, it isn't quite the same without Elliotte in the intermission providing an update on the Oilers and McDavid or campaigning the NHL to call things tighter when players go up against McDavid because fans want to see more of him and the Oilers on the PP.

Last night was absolutely a window into how SN (and maybe the league) treats the Flames like a 2nd class citizen.

That picture quality is a revelation.
It was just nice to watch a game that didn't have any glitches. Sportsnet, and only Sportsnet will have lag or momentary freezing. No other channel does it, just the Sportsnet channels and it doesn't have to be hockey but I watch hockey the most and it is frustrating.

So watching the game on Prime was such a treat. I can't wait until there is no more cable TV and everything is streamed.

Don't forget that Wolf ended last season with a 4 game winning streak.

So Wolf is 9-2-1 in his last 12 games as a Flame.
