something that make me ponder is that the CFO for TC Energy (when Kenney "loaned" 1.5 billion on the Keystone XL gambit) was appointed to the AIMCO board earlier this spring...
update: here is a look at who ran AIMCO. Is it just me or does it seem heavily oil and gas in culture/focus?

And in other news, relatedly perhaps, the ucp stated a new Provincial corporation for 'the purpose of managing and investing all or a portion of Crown assets'
So not using Aimco for any of the cpp money they try and get for their app?

It is entirely possible the UCP will find someone worse to run it.

From twitter, seems accurate
UCP to Teachers 2021: AIMCo is vastly superior to ATRF and we are taking your pensions and giving it to them.
UCP to Albertan's 2023: AIMCo is vastly superior to CPP and we'll be taking your pensions to them.
UCP 2024: AimCo is vastly incompetent and we need to fire them all.

UCP 2025: We fixed AimCo and it is now the best fund manager in the known and unknown universe, and will be taking CPP to manage. Oh, we also directed them to invest 95% of funds in Alberta oil. Jack Mintz loves his new job, and it's a good thing we removed caps on salaries of directors, so we can pay him what he is worth.

Unfortunately long term damage to children's health with lifelong consequences is going to eat up those savings.

So, to summarize:
AIMCO: Long-term investing in oil and gas seems risky and we would like to diversify our investments
UCP: The hell you will

The easiest way to cut down on healthcare cost for seniors is to make sure everyone get debilitating diseases as children so they'll never become seniors.
Make polio great again!

You should try this Pangolin! Cooked rare! They serve it at Burger King and you get a nifty little paper crown with it!

Christofacist gather to celebrate bigotry. Thanks, Danielle.

More than 100 Albertans gathered outside the legislature building on Saturday to voice their support for the province's new legislation aimed at transgender women and youth.

The rally was organized by six groups, including Pedersen's and the Association for Reformed Political Action Canada (ARPA), a group aimed at bringing "a biblical perspective" to civil authorities.

How about you give your bible a new perspective from inside your colon?
Yes, they look exactly as you suspect.

Looks like the usual suspects. Old stock, simple, easily seduced, and scared of any and all change.
Sounds like the same crowd south of the border.

One of my buddies is a doctor (general practitioner) and has decided to close his practice effective April 2025. I'm grabbing a bite to eat with him later this week and I suspect I'll learn that the Alberta government's continued screwing of our healthcare system in this province is a big factor.
