Used to be some classic Smythe Division matchups vs. the O.G. Jets.

Here's a cookie bud.
(But that's actually an impressive feat so can't hate on the team's accomplishment - but will it be any different come playoffs? I doubt it)

Lot of resentment and assumption. If you notice the join date it is before the Jets return. I grew up in Winnipeg as a fan of the Jets. I moved to Calgary, cheered for the Flames wholeheartedly and joined this site. Then they came back and I love both teams. I do t think I have been really pushing a Jets agenda here during my time. Didn’t even mention their streak until it set a nhl record. I figured that was worth mentioning but I sure as hell don’t need your cookie or your ungrounded accusations.

They would be a palatable Cup winner. Worst case scenarios to win a Cup for me:
1. Oilers
2. Canucks
3. Maple Leaf
4. Canadiens
5. Winnipeg
6. Ottawa

Things could be a lot worse for non-Jets fans in Canada. Just try and imagine, if you're willing to put yourself through that emotional abuse, what the Canadian media would be like if the Oilers were 15-1 to start

That's pretty much my list. Montreal winning it wouldn't be the end of the world for me but my dad is a Bruins fan so I grew up in a household where you don't want them to win anything.
But I'd rather nobody but the Flames break the streak.

I have Tampa above Ottawa and Winnipeg and maybe Montreal too.

Jets GM has done an admirable job. They are competitive now, with 2 expiring contracts on defense next year that they liking won't sign, but an NHL ready Salomonsson coming. They have 3 expiring contracts on forward next year that they likely won't sign, but prospects Yager, Chibrikov, Lucius and Lambert ready to fight for a spot.
Built in succession. They should be good for a while.
