Comrades helping Comrades

Very similar to the big garbage bag of hardcore European porn Mags that were left in bunk space when I got overseas.

I am sure the Russians are selling them the ability to "put rounds down range".

Would be funny if it was access to porn that sparked the revolution in North Korea.

Good article on when/if Ukraine should restart their nuclear weapons program, and the history of their disarmament during the 90s.

https://nationalinterest.org/feature...arsenal-207076

Long read but worth it. Went down the rabbit hole clicking on many of the links and sources throughout. Really interesting reading and makes you wonder what is next in terms of possibly having a nuclear deterrence.
Ukraine's capacity to develop nuclear weapons is probably limited but not impossible, I wouldn't be surprised to find out they already started it, they have proven to be pretty sneaky the last couple of years.

It is Leverage Ukraine has if the US tries to back out of supporting their cause or trying to fast
-track a deal that hurts them.

Zelensky can say fine, desert us but we are exploring all our defense options including nuclear deterrents.

US doesn't want that.

Ukraine is probably closer to a bomb than we think.

The most recent analysis that I've listened estimated that they could probably do it in a matter of months. They have all the technology and knowhow needed already, and possibly some leftover infrastructure from the soviet era. Maybe even people who have built them.

It's just a question of putting it all together.

Good, they have a little over 2 months, they can throw a wrench into Putins/Trumps plan the day after inauguration

Ukraine has a lot of uranium reserves and they already use U-235 for their power plants and likely have the knowledge to further enrich it to weapons grade, If I was Zelenskyy the minute Putin started his crazy invasion I would have started this process as a just in case scenario, especially after Putin was threatening with his.

what stops world proliferation of nukes is that the smaller players tend to get strongarmed out of it by their sponsors and its hard to keep what is a major industrial process secret, Ukraine would have been given a hard no on that by the US in the beginning, with a pro Russian President they have no reason to care what the US thinks

What good are nukes for Ukraine? Surely their red lines would be no more credible than Russia's. It's not like they could use them without Russia using theirs, and they're not going to win a nuclear war against Russia.

The only use cases I can see are: to bluff, and to secure a conventional victory by dissuading Russia from nuclear escalation. But I don't think there's a strategy where they can actually use them, which as Russia is finding out kind of makes them less useful than one might hope.

If Ukraine having nukes was actually useful, I would hope Biden would just transfer some over.

If it comes down to having your people bombed to hell and loosing your homeland because you've run out of weapons to fight I know what my strategy would be.

The idea would be to bury them as close to the frontline as possible as a sort of super mine field I would guess
