I’m just saying the next 2 drafts have elite talent at the top. It’s not like a Nail Yakupov vs Ryan Murray or Slafovksky vs Wright. Or RNH.
We could be getting that franchise altering player in the top 5.
Chicago, LA, Tampa, Florida, Colorado they all went through the pain. I know others have as well and it hasn’t turned around as quickly for them but they have had other issues as well poor management or ownership. I don’t see that being an issue here.

How about St Louis? Or Vegas? They won, without drafting a Crosby / Malkin or Ovechkin or Kucherov / Stamkos combo
Somehow there must be a possibility of success without taking but rather through management in absence of bountiful lottery wins
Yeah, Vegas got gifted a nice expansion draft and built around it (and shame on Seattle, some good management and they could be better than they are)
#### tanking. I want good hockey today and better hockey tomorrow
I would like to see management optimize resources, draft well in the slot they get, not to tank and mismanage the rest of the roster, and squander pretty much everything
Top picks can help but don’t guarantee anything.
