Lol wat? I stated a fact he won one demographic

GOP 100% did a better job of fooling them...Tariffs and deporting 20M people will totally help the economy and inflation. Then Mexico can pay for that wall and they won't get back in

You know what, I am convinced. Jimmy Kimmel should definitely NOT be elected to be the President of the United States. That is what we are arguing about, right? Whether Donald Trump should have been elected over Jimmy Kimmel?

So the writer or director of silence of the lambs should be charged lol...and yeah Jimmy wasn't running for president last time I checked. But the guy who just won was simulating oral sex on a man with a microphone in front of children last week...not playing a character but representing himself.

Make no mistake. These podcasters are morons but they are being used and funded in a very organized and calculated way. It is extremely scary.
Shades of Colbert, Seth Myers, Kimmel, ect.

You know what young people love, traditional late night network talk shows. They can't get enough. Everyone at school each morning is talking about the latest Kimmel monologue.

Sounds like some layoffs are already happening with the expectation of tariffs.

9000 jobs takes a lot of planning. Therefore, nissan planned this before and planned to blame the election for the layoffs

Or that was their contingent plan for if Trump won the election.

Tariffs the latest boogie man...

When it comes to inflation and higher prices, the concern is food and energy costs, which the US is self sufficient in for the most part. So tarrifs will have little effect. Bring down energy costs and you bring down the cost of food and other things.

If you buy your stuff second hand ect, which "i would imagine most of those fumbling peasants who voted for Trump do"... no effect there either.

So i am not sure that Tariffs have the effect those who are gas lighting about it think it does.

And i am no fan of tarrifs for the most part.

Companies do plan many things in advance based on the actual outcomes which could or may occur. Outcome H - we need to do this. Outcome T - we need to do this. It's not Outcome H - we will Blame H or Outcome T - we will Blame T.

Maybe it is just a timing issue? The job cuts come at a time when they slashed their expectations for profitablity by 70%, indicated that they would cut global production by 20% and cut their CEO pay. This doesn't really sound like politically motivated maneuvering but rather a ####ty business that is looking to improve their balance sheet.

Autos and Housing are other ones.

Is US self sufficient there? I imagine also deporting a swath of people who build those homes, will be good for legal trades people, not for end buyer.

If he can pull off net zero inflation on food, clothing, gas, homes and autos your right. I think his plan is to bully everyone outside US to come home and keep prices flat. I am doubtful.

Well since we’re calling out gaslighting, can you explain how if I’m a grocery retailer who’s been charging X for my products, why I would be compelled to lower my prices that I know my customers will already pay in the event I pay less tax and have lower energy costs? Are shareholders at these large chains going to vote in favour of not maximizing profits?

Nissan has been on a downward trend since Renault took them over.

Volkswagen announced they're closing 2 plants and slashing a lot of jobs the week prior to the election.

Global demand for new vehicles is weak and isn't going to get any better with a lot of the world in a bad spot demographically.

Nissan is a company that actually has a pretty significant amount of their vehicles made in the U.S. already. Tariffs or no tariffs...auto manufacturers don't have a great outlook.
