Nope. Buffalo is what Edmonton would be if they didn’t get McDavid. Super meddlesome owner, bad management, and the longest playoff drought in the NHL and they still suck.

Any NHL player has the possibility of scoring a goal in the shootout. I would put my money on him still having one shootout goal after ten attempts. Nothing personal against him, but he’s a career tweener with borderline offensive skills.
But if you’re trying to tank without looking like you’re trying to tank, there’s no better time and place to give away points than an afternoon in Buffalo. And I don’t actually mind that.

All three of the Flames shootout attempts did not look dangerous. I might have went with Zary or Coronato over Kirkland but honestly the choices were pretty reasonable.

They practice the shot out so we don’t see those results.
So, we don’t have all the info to determine the best choices.
