I just avoid getting arrested.

I just get amped up in the airport and the whole process, unreasonably so.

No other place can a business just totally lie to you face and steal from you but by an airport employee. But furthermore there is a police officer right there backing it. It’s mind blowing.

This story, sounds off. It doesn't matter how much liquid is in the container when you go through security. It matters what size container you have. You can't bring a 200 ml tube of toothpaste with only 25 mls left in it. You can bring a 100 ml tube of toothpaste that is full. All of the containers must fit in a single 1 quart resealable bag. Containers that are larger than 100 mls, regardless of the amount inside, must be in checked baggage.

A friend of mine bought bagels and cream cheese in NY to bring back. TSA confiscated the cream cheese as it was a “liquid”. It’s dumb things like that which make flying so annoying.

Yeah. Its not hard. Yeah. You can automate it. But...should you? I dont think so.

If you're in a hurry and have a handful of items? Hit the auto checkout, otherwise? I think 'Cashier' is a good life-lesson on both sides.

One side is how to survive being degraded by jerks and on the other side...learning how to treat others with respect.

I don't. Cashier is like the bare minimum. I say good morning to the lady at my grocery store, I then tell her method of payment, and then "You too" when she tells me to have a good day. The interaction does nothing for my social skills, which are admittedly lacking.

As for her, she has to repeat the same small talk to dozens if not hundreds of people in a day? Sheer torture.

Now if you're talking about a retail experience where you need to ask for advice on a product or something, maybe that's different and has some value. But a cashier? The only people talking more than they need to or old people, and that's just irritating everyone else.

Being absolutely dead for 36 hours after both flu and Covid shots. Honestly so ####ing annoying, wouldn't have even taken the Covid shot if we weren't going on a bunch of flights soon.

I know that it's much better here than the rest of the internet, but I hate when people paint themselves as intellectual, and then proceed to taunt and childishly name call. It makes me immediately want to take the other side of an argument, even if I agree.

Are they pulling tubes of toothpaste out of people's 1 quart resealable bag to check if that tube is a full 100ml or a half full 200ml with the empty half rolled up so it fits in the bag?

You've never experienced a security employee making up their own rules and/or on a power trip?

This is a very astute observation that you've articulated in a particularly eloquent manner, Harry LAME!

Oh *** yeah, Monahammer, that's totally coming. So let's call for how those jobs should be eliminated because corporations and governments will come together and do the right thing for citizens. Totally, only a matter of time, lol.

Attempted chick fil a yesterday and after seeing 100 people lined up with another 100 vehicles for drive thru (backed up on McLeod) I noped that idea for another month or so until it dies down.

But what surprised me was looking at their menu for the first time; they're a chicken restaurant and don't actually sell fried chicken. Just chicken sandwiches and strips. And only waffle fries, too. It's actually a very limited menu.

I was pretty disappointed when I tried it in Vegas for the first time last Spring. Sandwiches were just okay, not terrible but not great.

You’ve never really thought about their name, have you?

A great way to keep costs down and food quality up is to focus on specific items.

I don't get it. I'm thinking about their name and I'm not reconciling it with something that seems obvious to you.

Throw me in the camp of not really liking it. I love me a good chicken sandwich. Dragged my family to a mall in Honolulu to get it last April. Super mid. A spicy chicken sandwich from Wendy's is better.

I chalked that up to just getting a dud, so I'm going to try again for sure. Was a totally disappointing sandwich, though. Gave my money to a bunch of Christian bigots for nothing...but I'll give them one more chance, those rascals.

Me gear grinder is from Tuesday. At a pub with my wife and there's a hockey game in the background. Montreal I think. They get a goal and some dope of the highest order at the table behind us starts banging on the table, shouting and then doing that super loud kinda-slow clap that hockey dorks started doing about 12 years ago. The kind that shows all those around that they're a super duper fan and their elation at a 20 year old kid they don't know shooting a hunk of rubber past another 20 year old kid they don't know is worth interrupting all those around them. Gotta show the bar this major life event just happened and that their experience of this insane happening - a goal in hockey - is worth inserting themselves like a barking seal into my date.

Stfu with your yipping, yelling, clapping, banging, etc. At a sports bar in the play offs or something where that's the vibe then sure. But in a moderately quiet pub where you're the only guy there to watch the game? Fk off and stay our of my evening you main character worthless sack of #### who has tied your identity to a stupid game like some pea-brained tribal moron. I don't carry on like a banshee in public when something that makes me happy happens. I also don't bellow disappoint at a volume in excess of the rest of the din of wherever I am when something doesn't go my way.

There's no such thing as a sports-fan pass exempting you from social norms controlling your screeches and banging just because you get off on watching young men play games. Next prick that does this where I am I'm going to tell him to stfu in my loudest voice with my most aggressive posture possible. I'm big and have no fighting skills, so best believe I'll be ready to run if he calls my bluff, but I'm going to try this anyway...I'll be hailed a hero by the vast majority of people who are sick of these beaver-rodent men who keep slapping their tail when I'm just trying to chill out at a pub.

Chick Fil A

Chicken Filet

The name is type of chicken they sell, they’re not a “fried chicken” place, they’re a chicken filet place.

It’s also extremely mid so I wouldn’t get your hopes up that you just had a bad go.

Okay yeah I got the chick filet part. Sorry, not being obtuse or anything on purpose. I just figured that was their main thing, but didn't consider it meant they wouldn't serve other types of chicken.

I'm really only about the sandwiches at chicken places, anyway, so probably why I didn't super care. Like Popeye's. I think they have a great sandwich and I've never even tried their fried chicken.

Fried chicken is something I sort of draw the line at, anyway. Just like Cinnzeo. I really like fried chicken and cinnamon buns, but they're so egregiously unhealthy that I never treat myself save for once or twice a year.

Meanwhile spent last Saturday night out of town with my friends gorging on drugs and wings and whatever else we could get our hands on while drinking non stop, so I have no idea why a drumstick is a bridge too far.
