Damn! That's pretty sick! I use to make Fighter Jets out of Lego all the time when I was a kid, and an aircraft carrier was always one of the things I wanted to build. It's nice to see someone with the skill, time, and ability to make one finally do so.

Or a lack of human contact.

Very very cool.
We have one that my son built from Mega Blocks. It's only about 3 feet long compared to this. I thought that was pretty cool, until I saw this one.
Plus all the things they got from Mega Blocks were crap, they always fall apart after you build them.

I can't look at it without part of me just wanting to smash it. Isn't that the point of Lego- building stuff to smash?

Wow. I wish it was socially acceptable for a grown man to buy lego for himself....

Yeah, Lego artisanship is pretty insane... We've got a Lego bust of William Shatner at our gallery right now, done by a professional Lego artist from New York (9000 pieces, 180 hours of work, which is far smaller than this one but still impressive)... amazing the amount of craft that it takes.

I cringe when I think that somebody has tried to make himself a girlfriend out of Lego.
I mean if that ever comes out in public, do we applaud the guy for making an perfect in every way model of a girl or do we wonder what he's doing with it.

When I was at the Joe for game 5 they had a Lego Steve Yzerman in the lobby. It was pretty cool, but not even close to a friggin battleship.

I gotta say, that Lego Shatner looks more like Sam Donaldson than it does any era of Shatner.
