Default Flames 3 Bruins 4

Had to create a PGT . 11 years on here and no pgt was wrecking my Asperger's brain.

Wolf was good. Must be a weird timeline. Calgary drafting and developing a goalie.... stay tuned more at 11.

Zary also good.

Longest time without a PGT? I was about to make it myself

These guys don't give up when down. Have to appreciate that.
Future is looking pretty good with guys like Zary, Wolf, Coronato in place to start off. Encouraging play from them.

Always nice when the flames show heart. Big comeback against an experienced team.

It's funny because they couldn't comeback at all that first year after the big change ups to the roster. They work hard this year and you can't tune out if they are down because the don't give up. Zary is making several plays a game that stand out. Wolf is also looking good.

They fought back and that's what matters. I'm not sure why Bean isn't a regular though.

Wolf got them a point and had his first taste of the Boston Bruins.

Sharangovich with back to back strong games.

On to Cincinnati.

I would like to as well. But his defensive zone play is suspect, at best…

I get why they signed him (as a vet and for offensive upside), but I hope that they eventually use his bottom pairing spot to audition the kids from the AHL, namely: Poirier/Grushnikov/Brzustewicz. All three have shown well so far, IMO.

Exciting game with a good comeback. Watching the recording on NHL.TV it was obvious someone would score with seconds left in OT. Thought for sure it would be the Flames after that face off win.

Can’t complain too much about barely losing on the road to a win now team with $17M more salary that just signed two ex Flames to huge contracts.

His defensive game being suspect is a feature not a bug.

They can’t win too many games, a top-10 pick is on the line.

Missed points in November are just as important as missed points in March.

Besides, the AHL kids are crushing it. Let them work.

No need to bring them up and have them get caved in, mentally or physically, by the NHL before it’s necessary.

It’s so funny. This is probably since 2004 the most I’ve cared about the Flames (or maybe “interested in” is the right framing) but also the least I’ve cared. I know that might not make sense, but it’s just, do something different. Either be the best or the worst. The inbetween will never lead anywhere and is insufferable.

The Flames are going to finish 10th aren’t they? And yet I’m interested in all the prospects and how they’re developing. I like Backlund, is he part of the solution?

I like Coronato- is he part of the solution? Yes. So I’m interested in how people like him do… but the rest? Just… for the love of god, let us have a chance at something. We never will by mediocrity.

So no wonder the PGT doesn’t get created.

Thinking if the are going to dump someone it’ll be Hanley not Barrie. But I agree. Use that spot as s continual rotation for younger players to get some experience if they can avoid waivers.

Yeah. Hanley is 33 and has played less than 200 games in the show. He peaked at 35/44 gp I think in his late 20s

Barrie at the same age has over 800 games and 500 points

These aren’t 2 players with equivalent resumes

Down 2 goals going into the 3rd and they get a point on the road, can’t complain about their compete. I’m prepared to offer Wolf an 8x8 just to lock him up for as long as possible because he’s going to be a stud. (Joking, but seriously, do what it takes to keep him long term)
