Anyone who grew up hearing him would say the same. The person who tweeted that probably grew up mostly with Lilian.

AEW kind of has an issue where they have no real natural faces that you really believe are main event faces right now.
Who is a face right now that can believably face Mox or Okada and their heel stables? Darby? Cassidy? Is that about it?
MJF, Moxley, Okada, Hangman, Christian, Take####a, Perry, PAC, Fletcher, Claudio, are all heels.
Adam Cole...not sure if he's supposed to be heel or face as the current story makes no sense and they should have left the MJF stuff alone.
Jay White seems to be a face right now but they've flip flopped him and BCG a lot.
I think they tried to make Ospreay and Swerve their main faces but it hasn't really worked IMO. (Swerve would have worked but the Danielson fued kind of muddied it and losing to Danielson and Hangman back to back before taking time off hurt his momentum)
Is there someone im missing?

Looks like they're taking a slow burn of turning the Bucks and Okada faces when Omega makes his return. Will the crowd respond to the Bucks/Perry turning face? Of course not! But I'm sure they've convinced Tony that's what the crowd wants. Obviously Omega (and Okada to a lesser extend) are popular, but how many years does he have left? The Bucks are dead.... nobody cares about them, and I can't see that changing.
Maybe The Hurt Business will debut as faces. Yet they appear to be heels... and would it even make sense for ex-WWE guys to be working this program with Mox's ragtag crew?

If they are bringing Shane it, and who knows. But it would make sense for the Hurt Business to come in as a real threat.
I'd like to keep them away from Moxley though.

Another week, another absolutely putrid rating for Dynamite. Best line I saw on reddit was "The Moxley will continue until morale improves" which seems to sum it up. Everything they have right now is centred around people no one wants to see.

Three departures from WWE today.
Indie Hartwell
Tegan Knox
Baron Corbin.
Baron just could never get himself above the mid card no matter how much WWE pushed him.
Indie I think is really talented. I would guess she'll surface in TNA or even AEW.
Ok, I'm a big fan of Tegan, She had such an incredible story, and I cheered on her return after her injury at the Mae Young Classic against Ripley. They never capitalized on her story, and she was a good worker but had seemed to be more cautious in the ring and she didn't really have a lot of charisma in the ring. I'm hoping if she wants to she gets picked up somewhere.

Eh. Middling talents at best. Perhaps Indie gets on with AEW, but can't see the other two doing much. Baron has a better career lined up as a chef on TikTok, I bet he semi-retired from pro wrestling.

Let me just preface that with saying the Indi/Dexter wedding brought one of the greatest NXT moments when the officiant asked if anyone has reason why they should not be married, and Dexter slowly took an axe out of his tux jacket lol

Tony probably signs Indi and Baron because I'm not sure he can help himself from not signing ex WWE guys

Indi is probably a smart signing. Baron Corbin has gone as far as he is going to go. I can see him working the indys and making spot appearances in WWE but he'd be a mistake to sign.

I like Baron as a person, might be a better fit elsewhere. Some people need less scripting, and others do better when they’re shown a lane. He’s the former IMHO.

WWE hasn't been scripting people that don't need scripting for a while.

And vice versa for AEW. It’s been good for the industry as a whole. Forced dialogue in wrestling can be so bad. But for some people a pre tape or different promo works wonders!

Outside of someone like Ricochet, who I would argue is already being presented better in AEW than he ever was in WWE, Tony hasn't really shown a propensity for signing ex-WWE performers who don't at least have a high floor and/or solid fanbase.
Everyone thought he'd be in on Ziggler and Jinder, and he never took a swing at either.

He was in on Ziggler. Ziggler said no. He wanted the freedom to pursue his stand-up comedy. Only one place was willing to let him have that freedom.

Ratings from last night are in and NXT was watched by more people on Dynamite's regular night than Dynamite.
The AEW rating is now close to half of what it was not even that long ago.

I don't think the ratings matter any more.
If people like AEW they like AEW, I don't think with their current booking and roster that we're going to see any growth, but they have a somewhat stable audience.

I like Baron Corbins moveset. Deep 6 and End of Days look great, I perfer him over Damien Priest who fits a similiar niche
