Looks like lots of people having the same issue. So either a glitch, or it looks like they are re-doing the packages. But on contract I don't see how they can drop it.

There is fine print for everything. They recently tacked on a new rental fee per box, even though everyone is on a 2-year "fixed price" value plan.

But I am curious to know more. They recently added Fox News, so that's... that.

The addition of BBC News, however, is a great thing. I use a DNS service to get my UK channels/services, so BBC News is nothing new to me, but I like that it is included in my cable package now.

Don’t think it’s a glitch. Thinking of dropping Shaw altogether and trying the streaming route. Cable TV costs are outrageous. Just watch sports mostly anyway.

It looks like it is back. I don't even watch it, but it seemed a bit odd/fishy. Probably just a technical glitch.

There's some glitchy things still with the Ignite/Xfinity system. In recent months, every Friday-Sunday I get the out-of-town CTV stations and Eastern Time Zone US Broadcast stations even though I don't subscribe to the time-shift package.


It does help in allowing me to watch the NFL game that I want to watch, instead of always Seattle.

If you log into your My Shaw account, and then “manage TV”. There is an option to “refresh channels” or something like that. Try that and it should force a refresh.

They are screwing up all sorts of things recently. I noticed today that when I access the channel guide it now defaults to channel 100 instead of defaulting to the channel that is being watched.

Well i effing hate Rogers/Shaw. They forced me off my old gateway pvr to this piece of kyit internet box.

Gateway was only delayed 20 seconds from live. this Ignite crap is over a minute! and the gateway had 5 tuners!

And they thankfully fixed this issue as of this morning. Shaw was never ideal but they were better than all the other companies but since Rogers took over the experience has become much ####tier.

Genuinely curious as to how. Replacing email and internet access is easy enough but think we'd be hard pressed to replace TV. I'd love to pick your brains more on this as I'd REALLY like to get away from Shawgers one day soon.

IPTV would probably be the easiest route. Not exactly legal, but with how badly cable providers have gouged customers for decades I don't think anyone will judge you. Just never sign up for more than 3 months at a time max, because IPTV providers go down and pop up under new names all the time. They'll offer big discounts for yearly or even multi-year plans, but it's rare to ever get the value out of those plans

Anyone in the SW having Shaw internet trouble? Second day in a row of intermittent outages and I can’t get through to them. I don’t think it’s my Fibe modem.
