Not quite. Trump is ahead by 5 million. California is 57/40 Harris. So Trump is getting about 3.2 million votes from California, plus he has the majority of the other stragglers. Then Harris gets about 4.5 million from California. The gap will close a little, but Trump is still decidedly ahead in the popular vote.
Oh great. She will have the honour of being the first person to lose the popular vote to Trump as well.

I did ask if he was going to move back to Canada and Alberta and the answer a big nope. His wife is American and there would be a divorce if ever tried to move back home

Doesn't matter, sadly.
By every measure Trump won the election.
I have plenty of family and very close friends in the US, but honestly most of them are high income earners. At the end of the day their lives really won't be negatively affected by Trump.
The majority of American's wanted Trump. The deserve what's coming.

What is the difference between the #### show we have and the US?
We have our own piece of garbage to deal with here in Smith.

The sexist part is really more of it though. The fact so many rust belt counties reverted to almost exact 2016 splits against 2020 is very telling. Ultimately the big lesson here for Dems is women are still eons away from being acceptable to crucial parts of the electorate. Sticking with WASPs (or WASCs) for the foreseeable future should be the #1 thing they do after this.
Two-thirds of American states have elected a woman to the governorship at least once.

Some far left leaning posters - "We need to elect Harris to save democracy!"
**Trump gets elected**
Some far left leaning posters - "We should consider removing some people's right to vote"
No one has said that people shouldn't have the right to vote... at least no one that I have read. It is mostly just disappointing that people are voting against their own best interests, while at the same time being oddly selfish.
I mean, I get that Bernie is probably doing what he thinks is harm reduction, but you're right that it's not a great look.
Well on Friedman's podcast, Sanders says he believes his position on policy will result in improvements, even though its pretty obvious he's been kicked to the curb by the Democrats.

My brother is a high income earner but his wife has family that aren't and they will struggle. One of them was counting on Harris winning as she is starting her own business and was counting on small business tax credit.

Just an opportunity for her to pull herself up by her boot straps.

To be fair only about 1/4 of the 335 million Americans voted for Trump. Many are children that can't vote. Many voted against Trump. About 40% of eligible voters didn't vote.

I'm sure she will. She works for a realtor staging homes that are listed for sale. Her goal was to start her own company and not be limited to one realtor. Now all that is on hold.
