I see a smooth brain like you has fallen for his grift. If you expect that Trump will fix the economy, you are ####ing delusional.

So, obviously that sucks for a lot of people, but as usual I'm more worried about me. Canadian recession and 65 cent loonie when?

I think he's their best option and will run the country like a business which is needed. Will it work... We'll see but I can see why people want him in power, they identify with his pro America mindset. For a country that starting to look embarrassed having Biden at the helm he was the easy choice.

"Run the country like a business"
I didn't realize taxpayer money was profit to be divided among company leadership, but I suppose Trump of all people does.

Any business that ran deficits like Trump did (and will) would be bankrupt. Though I guess that's how Trump runs his businesses, so not too surprising.

Cool but like... I need, yknow, building materials and such for my cabin in the woods where I don't have to care what happens in the broader world. So.

Sounds like something a lot of folks in this thread should probably do. Good lord the fear mongering in here is palpable.

The market loves certainty. This is a collective sigh of relief that the election result was unambiguous. A marginal win and lengthy recount process would have been bad for the markets.

Nothing stopping you now. And lawyers can work remote or something, so you're good there.

Canada's economy will get hit, but in terms of the CAD, it's actually Trump's stated policy to devalue the USD. He thinks it makes US-produced goods uncompetitive so he wants it lower. Whether he'll achieve that is an open question though.

So is Trump still complaining about voter fraud this time or . . . . not an issue now I take it? Man, that 2020 election was really corrupt. Good thing it all got sorted out this time.

Yay, a race to the bottom between our dollar and theirs... can't wait.

The USA is surprisingly good at running a deficit so he'll fit right in then. He'll stop sending free money to Ukraine and maybe keep it inside his own house so that's a start

The man who cozies up to Putin is pro-America? The man who tried to trade Puerto Rico for Greenland is pro-America? The man who has stated he will use the military against its own citizens is pro-America?

Wait, hold up... Biden is the one that embarrassed the country? The biggest disaster in US history, on the international front, was the four-year term from 2016-2020, when corruption and grift was on full display. America lost the respect of the world and has been trying to build it back ever since. You can kiss that goodbye now.
My friend, YOU are part of the problem. YOU have been conned. You and your ilk have ####ed around, and are now about to find out.

I'm not sure if I'm more excited for four years of djt or the fodder of all these woke tears. This is like COVID hysteria 2.0 but even dumber because we've already had 4 years under trump and they were A+.
Now he doesnt have to contend with the Democrats in the Senate and we're going to take our trash to the curb next year. It's a good morning in America and a pretty good morning in Canada too!

😂 I'm good sir thanks. Biden being in control of a super power was very embarrassing for them as a nation, much like Trudeau. I haven't been conned just watching from the sidelines you seem like you'll believe anything the government tells you. People are fed up which is why you have Trump in power. People are tired of the way things were run, big Pharma controlling politics and they voiced their displeasure by voting in someone who listened 🤷🏼#♂️
If it's my ilk that will find out then I blame your ilk for trying to allow men into change rooms with little girls in them, and for pharmaceutical companies and politicians over stepping they're
Their reach to control people.
