This is a colossal disaster. Democrats just lost to a felon who orchestrated Jan 6 and they are shellshocked in understanding how. They were so busy explaining how Trump was bad, they never bothered to check what Democrat policies may be polarizing to a majority of American voters. And before someone chimes in about how Democrats are for xxx (human rights) and yyy (democracy) and zzz (abortion rights) and aaa (climate change) and how Republicans are bigots, dumbasses, etc, all of those may be true, but you don't win elections based off ideology and claiming the moral high ground.
Trump and the Republicans by far and large seem to have captured the young vote (more so young male vote). Democrats completely ignored this demographic.
How much did the Biden / Harris administration being so staunchly pro-Israel hurt their chances when their base is majorly who are in the pro-Palestine camp?
The economy was a clear issue and may have been the key issue. Whether fairly or unfairly, Americans saw their woes as a result of the Biden administration that was not addressed.

There have been a few of us who have been banging this drum in the American politics thread and we were consistently shouted down and mocked. Lo and behold, most of these concerns came to fruition.

Abortion is outperforming Harris significantly. I think the takeaway is that enshrining abortion rights is popular at the state level and will drive voters but it doesn’t affect the headline vote as much.
This kind of makes sense as once you have a state constitutional right to abortion it’s no longer a federal issue.

I will take that bet from someone who doesn't like Trudeau and has an honorable and good reputation. I will donate 100 if Kamala isnt divisive when she loses or wins, I don't think she is a whiner and complainer like most of the RW beta ####s . Most men just do the best they can and do not own women.
But I bet Trump is more divisive either way, just a whining child about how it was stacked. If Kamala thanks people and isn't divisive, you help the site or the east coast somehow. We both spent a lot of time there.
So I say Kamala does not insult, win or lose. And Trump will complain and act like a 10 year old and be divisive, and insult people, win or lose?
Good Cap? Money or a post of agreement after the election and I am good. Let's watch, win or lose i think Kamala will be an adult. Trump will be petty, divisive and childish, even Trump in victory. Internet tough guys just replicate what he says.
It's like everyone forgot woman's suffrage and slavery. It was never those fighting for freedom that were loud, just the special few who fought against being owned.

This is the most troubling part of the result.
Do the arms lobbyists have enough clout to continue to support Ukraine? And it’s pretty gross needing to count on weapons manufacturers to have the right thing done.

He's working for Putin, so see everything he does in that respect and you'll understand what's happening.

I think Pelosi and AOC and Obama will probably put a contract our on Harris for fumbling this away for them.

It's surprising the Cardi B and J-lL endorsements didn't put Kamala over the top.

Pretty much worst case scenario; a return to Trump suckling Putin's teet and the EU being as sackless as a dehydrated monk. Not a good combination.

Putin just got his huge win.
He'll probably be first to call Trump to congratulate him. Or no wait, Trump will call him first.
Amazing for Russia playing the long game. It was basically 4D chess with Ukraine. Intentionally send in weaker military, drag out the war, make people thing you're weak. And then boom, you've got control of the mother ####ing United States.

Good Cap?

Sure why not.
I don't think its even beyond a shadow or a doubt that Trump will be decisive, even though his last inaguration speech surprised me.
I think there will be a lot of bitterness by Harris if she concedes.

And to add last time around there were some adults in the halls of the White House to keep him in check, that will not be the case this time around.
