Don’t really have anything to add outside the norm but I am enjoying watching this thread ebb and flow between “gosh! a little too much perfume is really off-putting!” and “I dunno I guess a dead body that’s been rotting in a hot humid room for 6 weeks.”

Two worst smells I've encountered were both work related. First was cleaning the grease trap at a Joey's Only. Somehow the grease rots and turns into the most foul puke smell ever. Used half a bucket of lemons on my hands to try and neutralize the stink. Second is industrial landscaping. Giant truck filled with wet grass that had been baking in the sun for 2 days. Trying to get the stuck grass out of the back at the dump. Had to take dry heave breaks every 30 seconds. Man teenage jobs are woefully underpaid.

This is how you know people that have never really smelt anything awful.

Another reason to be thankful for veterans and first responders.

Yeah I second and third the decomposing bodies votes.

I'm always worried the neighbors or police are going to smell them, especially in summer.

Thankfully Calgary is pretty cool and dry most of the year.

Didn't half of CP go to ULeth?

Cause my answer is whatever the hell Lethbridge is brewing. Some days the smell is/was everywhere.

As far as I'm concerned, this thread breaks down to:

- people who have smelled a dead body
- people who have not yelled smelled a dead body

Because I just cannot fathom anything worse on the planet than a dead body I smelled after ~6 days.

TV shows and movies portray an unrealistic amount of time to dig a grave by hand. Its way harder to dig a good one. And with having to go to work, doing it without being noticed and other commitments, 6 days doesnt seem too long.
