Absolutely obsessed with Toronto's The Beaches lately.
I think this kind of music really speaks to people 40-55 though for whatever reason. It's not a throwback per se but it has vibes fortified in the 70s/80s female rocker era. Joan Jett, The Go-Gos, Heart, Pat Benetar, not really exactly like them but evocative of them.
Latest release from July:
Breakthrough hit from last year:

I don't know what to say except it appears that Justin went back to the cabin that started it all. He had some fun with some experimental dub type sound (which I personally think is brilliant), but found his home again. It's still a unique and very enjoyable sound.
Future hipster teens will be lauding his work for the next few decades. Enjoy!

Finally got around to this, and it is predictably nucking futs. Now that Geordie is a free agent we need a BCNR album with Geordie, might be the wildest thing ever.

Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief has a new solo album coming out.
Going to see her in a couple weeks in Toronto. Big Thief puts on such a great but I'm insanely excited to see her solo. She's one of the best things in music today. Her song writing is next level
