And whoever is dumb enough to look at Hyman's goal scoring or RNH fluke 100 point season that are a direct effect of McDavid and say these guys should be recognized individually as exceptional are very poor evaluators of the situation and probably hockey altogether.

Nurse is so bad Edmonton would ship him out for future considerations if they could. Are we trying to sewer Team Canada? Like, lol.
If Bouchard, Hyman, and Skinner are all on team Canada I might be cheering for Sweden.

Skinner will make team Canada because Canadian goal tending is in shambles. Long gone are the days of Brodeur, Roy, Cujo, Belfore

The issue with Principe is his player interviews, which are cringe. I agree about the charity work.

He still shouldn’t be there….. Hill, Montembault, and several others are still far better than Skinner.

Those guys are terrible too. Skinner, Hill and Montembault's GAA are in the 3's and their save percentages are below .900

Binnington, Thompson and Hofer should all be ahead of Skinner IMO

I'd take Brodeur and Roy today ahead of Skinner.

Skinner playing behind a competent defense might surprise people, which will raise Oilers and their fans expectations making the inevitable fall back to reality that much more painful.

Sure let Team Canada ride Skinner to the medal game so he can let 6 in on 15 shots. He is a middling split duty goalie at best.

Which makes him (sadly) a top ten borderline top 5 goalie in Canada. No one is pumping Skinner's tires, you E=NG fanatics are understanding it, people are just saying despite how terrible he is he sitll might be a top choice for the country

Historically there always seems to have been some oilers bias on the selection teams, how else could you explain Eric Brewer on those teams.

yep Iggy was an afterthought in 2002- Brewer and Smyth never in doubt

or did you mean that all of Coffey, Lowe, Huddy and Gregg weren't 4 of the top D Canadian dmen in 1984? (the Oiler had been tied for 10th in NHL in 21 team league in goals allowed that season and had the goalie and 4 D on the team)

I remember poor Gary Roberts having a great camp in 1991 and losing out to Shayne Corson- a similar but lesser player- who was soon an Oiler

oh well it is what it is

I think that this mentality persists which is why the oilers get rammed into every single conversation.

“Other than the play Mrs. Lincoln, what did you think about being in the same theatre as Connor mcdavid?”

As a seasoned watcher of The Office and similar shows, I don't get secondhand embarrassment easily, but watching Principe is another level of embarrassing. He's hard to watch.

Medieval level jester. I guess fitting for an audience like that.

Iginla was only invited to the training camp for the 2002 games because Gagne was invited and he was there in Calgary. Flames fans were really excited at Derek Morris being picked for the camp. Here's the initial camp roster, forgot Anson Carter was there too, another Oiler.
