You say he needs to make plays. He makes a couple great plays on the goal, and you dismiss it as lucky.
And you dismiss his good defense - he had several good defensive plays, including breaking up a two on one. Very different game if they score there

Yeah if you aren't happy with Huberdeau's game tonight then you'll never be happy with it.
He had a good night and the coaching staff clearly agreed as he was the winger that was double shifted when Kuzmenko got benched.
He will likely never be worth $10M but if he can play as strong defensively as he did tonight, while also chipping in offensively, then at least he's contributing positively.
And he has been doing that for most of the season TBH.

He is the teams leading goal scorer and has the best defensive metrics among the forwards
