News came out yesterday that Kane is ahead of schedule and could be ready by early 2025. If that is the case, they won't be getting any meaningful rentals
It would be shocking if they don't make him have some kind of "set back" to drag it out to the end of the regular season though.

Just think he could have had that surgery during the summer and would be back in action right now but clearly the Oilers didn't want that to happen.. They are going to eventually face the music and put him back on the active roster and it will be interesting to see what else they try to pull as no teams are going to take him off their hands.
