I've been a Huberdeau apologist for a while now but it's starting to wear on me. He's so predictable, get the puck and try a weak-ass behind the back pass...every...####ing...time. The worst was tonight when he got the puck behind the Vegas net and instead of looking to make a sweet pass out front what does he do...turn and face the boards and do a weak-ass back pass through his legs. Send him to the A till he gets his game back.

Flames were probably boozing it up in Vegas last night... At least I hope they were.

I'd take Mantha out for Klapka for sure on that 4L.
Give Mantha a chance to redeem himself and maybe give the Flames any kind of pick at the deadline was my thinking. The guy looked like beast in the first 3 games, now I see why he's disappointed multiple teams now.

Honzek needs to heal up and stay far away from the incoming trainwreck. AHL and win the games for him.

Mantha was on of the Flames best players tonight

Zary led all Flames forwards tonight, with 19:06 TOI- and deservedly so.
Ice time leaders on the blueline were Andersson at 25:40, Bahl at 23:03, and Weegar at 22:39.

No. I expected a bad team, not this though.
This looks like a team made worse by a terrible coach. If it gets a lottery pick I'm all for it. Just not a fan of Huska's in game management. Nor his lines or healthy scratches.

Only in the book of Huska is Rooney an NHLer.
Schwindt certainly wouldn't deserve that spot. LMAO.

I was just waiting for Sharky and Lombo to light #### up together in the 3rd. Genius move by Huska, I'm floored it didn't result in at least 2 goals.

Huberdeau isn't working with anyone at this point.
Kadri and Coronato are shooters. Try it again.

Conroy was the one who brought him back and Schwindt is a plug anyways.

The Flames are currently only 4 points up on being the 3rd worst team in the NHL. A dozen teams within 2 points. Hot start and all, it won't take very much to slide down to the bottom, especially with efforts like this. Frankly with how they played even when they won a lot to start the season, there were few where they flat out deserved to win.
I think it's safe to say that the Canadiens will be getting Florida's 1st round pick, and the Flames will be picking in the 3-8 range this year.
At least the Wranglers are the very best AHL team. Lots to be excited about moving forward.

They are 5-3-1 and their losses have all come against very good teams.
What were you expecting from a bad team?
A lot of people wanted a rebuild and high draft picks. We are 9 games into the first season of a few bad ones and people are already upset. I don't think some fans are ready for what they asked for.

Re: Zary... Drafting an offensively gifted center, and then playing him as a 3rd line winger in a checking role with a couple of aging grinders... where have I seen this before?

We lose a bad one, a few games in a row, and sudenly people start dumping on Huska, but not a peep when we were undefeated in 5.
Not to worried about Zary playing W, he'sprobably learning a lot from watching Backlund play C, before they eventualy switch him.
