All in all, a good road period for the Flames. Held the Knights to 6 shots on goal, but had a couple of breakdowns and one ended up in the net. Pretty even period overall with the Flames playing quite a bit in the Vegas end.

Considering how well the Knights play at home, you can't really ask for much more. Hopefully there's a bit of a surge in the 2nd from the Flames.

I thought the Flames looked pretty decent. Just no game breakers, so they have to work twice as hard or get some bounces to beat the really good teams. But can't complain about the effort.

I actually haven't minded Pospisil and Huberdeau together (the underlying numbers aren't bad either) but I wouldn't mind seeing another winger than Mantha on that line though just to see what it looks like.

Vegas has reaaaally struggled this year. Being outchanced heavily night after net but coasting by on a 5v5 shooting percentage in the 14-15 range. Bodes extremely well for their 2026 pick.

It's a shame after we saw what a force Mantha was in Game 1. I guess the reports about him being inconsistent were bang on. It's too bad, if he even brought a fraction of that intensity every game he'd be a great player for this team.

I didn’t do a deep dive at Vegas looks like they are outscoring their problems. 16% shooting.

Looks like they average 2 penalties a game but have a 75% PK and allow the 6th most shots on net.

Shooting percentage aside, they seem to be doing just fine. But also, don't good teams find a way to score a bit more and have a slightly better shooting percentage? Especially with a small sample size so early in the season? A crazy good PP likely helps as well.
