Unfortunately those are the hardest players to draft/develop/trade for.

The Flames haven't had one in as long as I have been watching them.

That's gotta change before true playoff contention is a reality.
I think they're two drafted elite players away from this rebuild being a success and us becoming a contender. It's a hot start with a team playing above their skill level through young, determined players. This happened in 2014 and our previous GM decided we were one or two available through trade players away and stopped rebuilding to plug the "final" holes. Can't do that again, stay the course, keep acquiring draft picks.

He's sensitive about Winnipeg remarks, while an active member on a calgary board, calls a calgary radio station and who knows what else calgary centric/based.

All the telltale signs of envy are there.

I don't live in Winnipeg anymore. I'm not trash talking Calgary, some sensitive souls are lashing out after the loss.

Keep Andersson and Kuzmenko.

Kadri… less is more, buddy. Pass the puck.
What? I love both these players but you have to be smarter than that as a rebuilding club. You literally started rebuilding last season, you already have Kadri, Huberdeau and Weegar as players with long term contracts heading into their 30's. You simply can't add two more 30ish players starting big deals.

It makes no sense to be that tied up in 5 aging players as you start a rebuild. All that will do is have you trying to shed their caps desperately when you're new younger players are up for contracts when you're competing.

One of them, maybe. But even then it's tough to justify because of the other three big veteran contracts.

Compare their ticket prices to the best 15,000 seats in the Dome (which are all sold).

In fact, most of the empty seats at the Dome are actually the nosebleeds.

And the new arena will be completely sold out, even with considerably higher ticket prices. So I really don't see your point - the fact is that the Jets' attendance is the lowest in the league.
The best seats in the Dome aren't even close to all sold. I peruse every game when I'm think of buying. You can buy almost entire rows of seats in many sections in the lower and bowl and second tier, most games. It's really bad this season, but that was to be expected as many fans stopped buying tickets even during their competing years in recent memory.

I'm just offended that Calgary was referred to as the Paris of the prairies. That's a pretty famous saying in Canada due to the Tragically Hip referencing Saskatoon, you should know better.

Catchy, and famously written about a specific city. It's like saying "I'm going to the city that never sleeps, Miami!" "that's New York" "I know but it's catchy and Miami is also up all night".

Yup, Huberdeau, Kadri, and Weegar are the long term vets. Zero reason to add more.

The I think maybe on a go forward basis would be better for all involved if I just don't participate in Jets discussion on FOI

Hey have you guys ever been to Winnipeg? Oh, sorry, you might know it better as the Big Apple... it's a really huge, massive center of business, tourism, culture and learning. It's way out in the middle of eastern Canada, where everything is happening all the time. It's pretty crazy how no one ever sleeps there -- in fact, I think I've heard it called that before too.

My family was at the Dallas game that Chucky got his 100th point in. We were all wearing flames gear and we got approached by Flames staff with free tickets to the lower bowl.

Explains why the nosebleeds are empty as they are since they are actively moving people to the lower bowl to make it look better on TV.
