My entire life I felt like if I could afford to be price insensitive to cheese and buy whatever cheese I wanted at the price being asked and not worry about how it impacted my net worth. Than I'd know I had no financial problems. So I'm better than poverty because I do feel that I have established food security for myself. But I've struggled to move up in class to Cheese security. After that it's other protein source security.
I confess I pay for my Costco membership solely to access a better quality of cheese, I'm probably dropping 200 a month on aged Chedder and quality Brie

Yeah I read the comments about people avoiding Costco in the Winter tires thread and my first thought is, you must not like cheese.
Does our government subsidize Costco for putting Cheese on sale? If so I'd vote to keep that going, it's an important issue to me.

Whelp, Trudeau has declared himself king and even voluntold his party to give him a standing ovation yesterday before speaking. This was followed by the Conservatives mock applauding and bowing to the king.
Mulcair believes that Trudeau's only move left is to run and prorogue parliament before he has to face the music, holding on to the throne as long as he can
Now Singh during a press conference is claiming to be against Liberal immigration plans all along, despite supporting the Liberal government in doing it for years. This is the first time I have seen him speak out on it (someone can correct me if he did before)?
I honestly think keeping Trudeau is the best strategy for the liberals at this point. Sometime in the next year there will be an election. Unless something changes dramatically, it is very likely to be a conservative majority. I don't see changing leaders having any effect on the liberals outcome in the current environment.
So let Trudeau lose this election, then get a new leader. Having new leader take the fall, à la Kim Campbell would just delay the rebuilding of the party that needs to happen after the next election.

In a way I think it's similar to why Polievre did not go for the Conservative Leadership against O'Toole. The party who won the 2021 election was likely to look bad come the next one given all the global issues that were going to come home to roost.
You put in someone now and it's pretty much political suicide for that person. Trudeau is finished after this election and his party should let him take the fall. But with a few MP's thinking a new leader might save "insert all the pronouns here" job. There will be some desperate calls for change. Two terms served = golden pension.

I'm not a PP supporter at all but causally comparing some idiot moron to PP, is like him saying that he's born in Calgary and they are all PP supporters

I think PP is a lot closer to a Vance or McConnell then a Trump. Trump is a bumbling idiot that tripped over a cult waiting to follow him. McConnel, Vance and PP have seen the cult and are moving wherever they have to to latch onto them, they will move however they need to move to stay in the cults bubble, clinging to the power the cult bestows upon them. It's funny because Trump is dumber less focused and has far less to say, but he has way more control over the future of the North American rightwing that those who actually have a direction for the movement want to go.
To me that is what makes PP threatening, if he feels he needs to listen to the hobo queen of Canada (I can't actually remember her name), then we might actually get saddled with some of the random policies she plucks from her person idea space. I think this combined with the need for turnover in the liberal caucus leaves me hoping for a weak minority government that ties the hands of whoever wins.

A Queen Romana exclusive flavour. Introduced to support the Peterborough Patriots and honour Romana all in just one 3 1/4" stick of flammable satisfaction. Plus, it's the only smoke on the market with Omega-3.
If some crazy lady saunters out of an ancient third-hand Winnebago and proclaims to me that she's the 'Queen of Canada' I'm going to laugh in her face and assume I'm on some stupid hidden-camera prank-show.
Am I being Punk'd?
I just cant fathom believing it.
"Give me money!"
What? No. Get lost. You have a Winnebago. Go away.
If you were the real 'Queen of Canada' you'd already have been taking my money anyways.
