If Trump wins clearly we’ll have to do the ol’ Jonestown since hope will be dead and the world assuredly over.

I'm not sure about that. Hasn't it been an accelerating ride on the crazy train since the Tea Party?

To try and help get some seats in the house from New York. Republicans will still do something in California and Dems will still go to Texas and Florida for that reason.

Nah, more like you and Pepsi didn't like hearing the truth, so you made me the target of your mockery and contempt.

No, you’re right, you’re the only person talking about nuclear bombs going off, democracy being dead, and everything being bad for everyone in the entire world, so it must have been a contemptuous targeting of you specifically.
And is that how you imagine yourself? A teller of hard truths?
Come on man, get over yourself.
Or at least mix the juice for us.

Oh I am probably more aware of the truth than you are, simply by being more of a geezer than you are. But also by being older I know that working yourself into a perpetual dread cycle 24/7 isn't gonna change ####, no matter how inflated your sense of ego makes you think you are this thread's great enlightener. Trump winning is gonna ####ing suck all sorts of ass, we know.

The nuclear bomb thing you took out of context.
But yeah, as for the rest of it, I spelled out the reality of the stakes of this election. Extremely callous, dangerous people could be on the verge of taking control of the most powerful military in the world. And they now have what they need to end democracy and entrench their power permanently.
I wish those weren't the stakes, but they are.
The two of you are STILL trying to make this about me instead of about the election. It's getting tiresome.

Jesus Christ almighty lol. What is there to add anymore? This election cycle started on January 20, 2021. It's been more than 45 months, we all know what is at stake, we voluntarily choose to follow this trainwreck. You going on histrionic rants and posting every YouTube video possible with "END OF DEMOCRACY?" in all caps in the preview screen isn't the contribution you think it is. You aren't changing any hearts and minds, there is nothing directly any of us Canadians can do. If taking this election like it's life and death and literally taking days/weeks/months/years off your own life to burden yourself with stresses is how you wanna handle this, that is your choice. Pregaming doomsday scenarios is not a healthy way to live, but if you wanna live it then have at it.

If the last 9 years have showed us anything, it should be that there are people here reading this, that don't get the joke, and will take it literally.
People lost family members, and joking about it being fake probably isn't the best. That is exactly what Alex Jones did.

"histrionic"? "every video ever"?
Oh, ok.
I guess I'm a bit taken by the irony of someone being overtaken with grief about the Gaza situation, yet nonchalant and flippant about the death of democracy worldwide...
And if my posts here are a complete waste of time and effort, I guess the same goes for every poster here.

This is legitimately funny because “the nuclear bomb thing” I mentioned is one of the items very-specifically not referring to you. I don’t even know when you mentioned nuclear bombs. I don’t remember, and I don’t care.
Nobody even mentioned you. If you don’t want this to be about you stop responding to posts and making everything about you? Maybe? IDK. Pretty funny anyway.
A guy can’t even talk about mass suicide in peace anymore.

I've never posted in that thread lol. Its the biggest trainwreck thread maybe in this site's history. And "death of democracy worldwide" is the kind of histrionics I'm talking about. Saying the most extreme thing possible does not help your appeals. You might think it does, cause in your mind you think treating it as the most existential threat possible might scare people enough, but it mostly doesn't. There's quite a range of possibilities between "Don't worry about Trump" and "Trump is the end of Western World", and the most likely scenario will be somewhere between them.

That was actually me. I just mentioned that Trump being in control of nukes is a terrifying thought, especially since his administration would be full of MAGA clowns this time around. And none of those people are stable individuals.

Oof just saw some highlights of the MSG rally. That's some pretty dark rhetoric. I really hope the next week just reminds people of what Trump is like. I watched as much of the Rogan podcast as I could stomach, and just thought he was a babbling idiot.

Repeating the word histrionics over and over again doesn't make it so.
I'm not saying what I say for attention or to scare people. I say it because it's my honest, genuine assessment of what's going to happen if Trump wins.
