As I understand it, Parekh exchanged words with a heckler as he was leaving the ice and faked as though he was going to swing his stick, probably to make the guy flinch. But nothing actually happened.

Unbelievable how this rumour took off on Twitter. Some fans were saying he should be kicked out of league.
The combination of absolutely zero media literacy and people racing to be first to “break” OHL news is incredibly weird.
It’s silly to post “news” or “rumours” from total trash sites to begin with, but I would be embarrassed knowing even the original source of the rumour was disputing the articles for being made up and not even trying to verify the info. People are out there writing entire articles based on a single sentence tweet with no context and someone read one and thought “Yeah I’m just going to share this without looking for any verification at all.”
And I don’t know what The Win Column’s reputation is, aside from being an ad-loaded content farm, but holy crap they look stupid for calling it a “report” and making a whole article out of it.

Is the heckler a former Oiler? Sounds like he went down easily.

Kind of like posters who rush to be the first to proclaim prospects as a bust.
Parekh sets up an OT winner and follows it up with a Tkachuk-esque shot to the defender en route to the celebration. I love that he has that pest attribute as well. He's going to drive our rivals crazy for years.
