Morin gets 2a, and +3 in a 5-1 win over Charlottettown. 6gp/3g/4a/7pts,even, 4 PIM. It should be mentioned that Moncton has a crowded blueline this season with the addition of Dylan MacKinnon from Halifax this summer, and the likes of Natan Grenier, Adam Fortier-Gendron, and Loke Johansson. Morin is listed now at 6'1",185lbs.
Gridin gets zeroes in a 3-1 win over Gatineau. 7gp/3g/2a/5pts,-1, 7 PIM.
Hitmen blank the Cougars, so zeroes for Laing, and a -1. 9gp/4g/2a/6pts,+6, 7 PIM.
Hurtig is +2, but earns a 10-minute misconduct, along with teammate Maxim Muranov, and opponents Riley Heidt, and Terik Parascak. 7gp/0g/1a/1pt,+8, 0 PIM.

It appears you are correct- looking at the highlights and stats, Jamieson and Dupont are on the ice together a TON.

3 A for Morin in the second period of the game that is currently on TSN apparently.
Trying to watch it through the garbage quality, not sure how people haven’t figured out streaming yet.

Just got back from the Knights game vs Saginaw. Parekh 2 goals (game winner), both beautiful shots. He was clearly a level above everybody else along with Michael Misa. So impressed.

The CHL boys from last year are killing it, Battaglia has 7 goals and 16 points in 8GP.
Aydar Suniev, 3rd round 2023, gas 5 goals and 6 points in 4 games for UMass Amherst.

I got CHL TV for the first time ever this season and I am LOVING it. Quality is absolutely insane. There are a handful of players that I haven't been able to watch much just yet (Mews, Battaglia, Misa, etc.), but here's what I've seen so far from some of the top prospects:
Matvei Gridin with a first period assist + 3 shots already.
*only* 7 points in 8.1 games so far, but that's with an unlucky 3 goals on a team-leading 37 shots (22 dangerous shots) and playing 2-line minutes as he adjusts to a new league/team/etc..
Exciting prospect.
---
Basha has looked dominant the last few games. Has been flying out there and just hounds the puck every opportunity.
Definitely a few elite offensive qualities in him.
Home boy, supremely skilled, high motor.. at 41?!? Insane value.
---
Parekh's 2 goals the other night were just that of an elite offensive defenseman. Even better, his second goal came immediately after he drew the 5-on-3 PP just from pissing the opposing player off.
He did have a horrible turnover last game in his own zone as the last man back that led to a goal against, but overall he's very sound positionally. Looks a lot like what I read into a few of the scouting reports that didn't actually mind his defensive game last season. It's not that he's lazy or doesn't care defensively. He's just so smart, positionally sound and good with his stick that he looks disinterested at times. He's certainly not a defensive stud, but this this the most excited I've been for a prospect since Tkachuk.
---
Morin has looked awesome from what I've seen. 6 assists + 8 shots his last two games, and making so many small slick plays with and without the puck. One play in particular during his 4-assist game was beautiful. No point on the play, but intercepted a pass in the neutral zone on his backhand, sauces it over to his teammate in the same motion, and leads to a nice goal. I suck at explaining plays, but it was so slick.

Parekh had such a fun (maybe not *so* fun for the coaches) game tonight. 1 assist (6-on-5 with the net empty), 9 shots (plus another 5+ attempts that missed the net by inches), 6 PIMs, multiple penalties drawn, and a couple pinch attempts/turnovers at the blueline that turned into 2-on-1s against (including the 5-2 goal).
I thought he looked not-as-good as what I've seen so far this season, but to have a not-so-good game (imo) and still be so impactful is what's gonna make him such a treat to watch.

Just an interesting CHL tidbit to pass along:
Liam Greentree, who was chosen 26th overall in this past summer’s draft by LA, was named OHL Player of the Week after posting 11 points in 3 games. He has surpassed 2025 Draft-eligibles Porter Martone and Michael Misa to take over the top spot in the scoring race, with 23 points in just 9 games. The next highest scorer on the Spitfires has 13 points.

Pretty cool that Greentree liked this post as well.
I remember reading a lot about him around the end of last season when the Flames were sitting around 13th but never really got behind him as a potential Flames pick (and then the flames fell down to 9th and it wasnt really a question anymore anyway). Wanted a C or a D. That's a heck of a start to the season though!
