This makes a lot of sense. Get that nice thick layer of ice down before a few centimeters of snow to make things slick.

Or so they say...

I don't know, maybe I'm just getting tired of all the warnings and special statements all the time. This just seems like a random fall day. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully on team "I wish it was hotter", and the wind really wreaked havoc on my fishing yesterday, but at -1 or whatever it was this morning, it was a pretty normal ride to work this morning for mid-October.

Where's the giant storm they've been hyping for a week now?

Maybe in the far NW, in the good part of the NW it's still completely dry.

I look forward to the strugglers who can't get up hills when some of this flash freezes...

Still raining where I am.

I can confirm the NW got a light dusting of snow. I think it's supposed to pick up later in the day? At least is was supposed to.

Hope the drive home isn't a shirtshow. Gonna try to skip out early and leave work by 2:30pm so i can avoid the craziness.

I just dropped my car off for a tire swap at a place on McLeod north of Chinook and it is more than a flurry, I would say... light snowfall.

They're going to get those slicks on in no time.

Big flakes in Crowsnest, not sticking to the pavement.

Blowing from the East actually.
