So, some highly sensitive, classified documents have been leaked describing in detail, Israel's plans to attack Iran.

Was this done by the US in an effort to stop Israel from moving forward with this plan? With the plan out in the open, the international community, I'd think, will move to try and stop this from happening given what it would lead to. Easier for the US to join the rest of the world and come down on Israel to stop them, than asking them to not do it privately alone.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States is investigating an unauthorized release of#classified documents#that assess#Israel’s plans to attack Iran, three U.S. officials told The Associated Press. A fourth U.S. official said the documents appear to be legitimate.

The documents are attributed to the#National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency#and#National Security Agency, and note that Israel was still moving military assets in place to conduct a military strike in response to#Iran’s blistering ballistic missile attack#on Oct. 1. They were sharable within the “Five Eyes,” which are the U.S., Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

The documents, which are marked top secret, were posted to the Telegram messaging app and first reported Saturday by CNN and Axios. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

So what's the details? I haven't seen any comprehensive plans on what they're going to attack, just that they are planning a retaliatory attack, to which I say, well duh.

They just have a few more civilians to shoot in Gaza and then I’m sure they’ll be able to give their full concentration to attacking Iran. Patience.

might even have been Israel pushing back at Iran, Iran has no ability to deal with the IAF and desperately wants to avoid a full scale fight

Top leaders from Israel's Likud Party, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are set to hold a conference next week aimed at promoting the re-establishment of Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip.

Israel also doesn't want the hostages back and they perpetrated Oct 7th. Let's not forget the rapes on Oct 7th are "over blown". Oh and Hezbollah are the real victims here.

They could have gotten them back day one by giving Hamas everything. They didn't. From Oct 7th to now they could have made many concessions to get them back. They didn't. I'm not arguing they should have completely folded, giving terrorists what they want is not a good long term strategy. But they have also had many opportunities for a ceacefire that would have seen hostages returned, and they have not taken them. Given those facts, you then have to weigh the goals against the hostages lives. Bibi clearly has strong goals that have been placed above the hostages(otherwise he would have sacrificed those goals). So you can argue how badly they'd want the hostages back(evidence for this?), but you can not in any way argue they are doing everything possible to free the hostages. They don't want them back badly enough to sacrifice their goals.
