Even though James Franklin is James Franklin, Penn State still has a very easy schedule left so even with this loss they'll probably be a playoff team. But they are pretty much cheeks.

They control their own destiny. As a two loss team their only path is to win out and win the Big12 to get the automatic bid. Any loss and they’re out, I can’t see a scenario where a 3 loss team makes the playoff at all
