The stopper to a subway series would be the Mets not the Yankees.

Yeah. I think the Mets just don't have enough consistent offense to win 4/7 vs the Dodgers. The Dodgers have won 2 of 3, and their better pitchers are starting the next two games. Plus the Dodgers bats are so deep.

The Yankees and Dodgers are certainly super teams in terms of payroll and media attention.

In terms of quality, they won 94 and 98 games respectively. The last time you had two 100 win teams was 2017 so yeah it doesn't happen that often.

Probably a good solution. I’m many ways they’re fortunate it happened in Florida to be close to those spring training facilities.

Do they really need to play games? Like would anyone notice if they just took a couple seasons off?

Judge and Stanton back to back in the 8th has turned a 3-1 Guardians lead into a 4-3 Yankees one.

lol Cleveland with a desperate review asking if Stanton didn’t touch first. Haven’t seen that before.

Clase having one of the most dominant seasons ever only to #### the bed in the playoffs is pretty much Cleveland sports summed up.

Rizzo error gives Cleveland hope.

Or it should be an error at least.

^^They are scoring it a double for now lol. Naturally Cleveland does nothing with the break. Looking like we'll have the Evil Empires Series all booked by tomorrow night.

I wonder if runner at second could have signalled Fry that the catcher wanted the pitch well outside?

My Astros had an approach for that.
