Not only that, they’re 4-0 and the expectations were closer to 0-4
Why look for a goat? Says more about you than them if you do

Excellent:
Huberdeau - great start and making tons of slick passes with way less giveaways
Andersson - seems like he is on a mission this year
Wolf - awooooo
Zary - kid just seems to be getting better and better
Pospisil - see above
Great:
Lomberg - comes as advertised. Ball of hate always zipping around
Kuzy - lots of points early and hasn’t even hit his stride yet I don’t think
Weegar - a few beauty shots so far
Surprisingly good:
Bahl - looking steady back there
Bean - same, these guys are reminding me of smart defensive defenseman
Pachal - continuing the trend of being somebody to count on
Mantha - fitting in really well so far, has some nice patience and chemistry with Huberdeau
Kirkland - what a story
Good:
Vladar- nothin to complain about here, 2 road games, 2 road wins
Honzek - just want him to catch a few breaks
Klapka - his games have looked great as well. I love the giant reach and defensive steals as well
Backlund - steady and good start
Coleman - same as Backlund
Barrie - hasn’t had much of a chance yet but didn’t look bad at all
Miromanov - hasn’t shown the offensive flash yet but has been pretty stable
Coronato - loved the speed today on the EN!
Kadri - decent start
So who am I missing? Has to be a goat somewhere?

Hanley. He’s holding a spot a young guy deserves. How can it be a rebuild if he is here. Ect ect ect ect.
That would be my pick.

One does not merely 'find' a Whipping Boy! He emerges from the mist! Like a Messiah!

Miromanov is definitely the player that doesn't seem to know what hes doing on a lot of shifts but it hasn't hurt the team at all.

I’m not “looking” for a whipping boy btw I’m just impressed that every player is playing well and can’t really remember that happening.

My vote is for the shot clock guy at the dome. He is so stingy with that shot clicker.

Why would you expect a team with a perfect record to have a whipping boy?

Because Flames Fans need something to complain about instead of just enjoying things.

And yet you started a thread to discuss whipping boys, after a perfect 4-0 start, and despite your own assertion that you 'can't find' one. The only time you 'can't find' something, is when you're looking for it.

This is great! Someone find out what his name is and we can curse him all season!
I can picture it now...
"Honey, there are hockey fans on the internet who appear to hate you..."
"Wha....?" *bewildered expression*
And next year it'll be the Zamboni driver!

Lol
Ok whatever, bad thread naming. Should have called it “I’m surprised there isn’t a whipping boy yet”

Maybe conman needs to bring in someone for the role. It’s currently unfilled.
Corey Perry?

Wait 2 weeks. There's several obvious candidates who are going to become one the moment the team hits a skid. Most of the same ones from the past few years + Mantha

Huska was asked about Lomberg in his scrum today and paid the guy the ultimate compliment IMO when he said
"Lombo gives his linemates no choice but to play the right way because Lombo does it start to finish every night"
(something like that but the bolded was verbatim)
Really good player for that role and certainly not the same guy that left 5 years ago.

Lomberghini is a beast. Great pickup if you want to change the culture.
