Such a difference from Markstrom and those big lug goalies.
I don't know what his "style" is in goalie terms, if there is one. But it calms my nervous system.

As in.. it doesn't look like a man leaping to save a chihuahua from being hit by a bus on every other shot, which would illustrate the style of our previous two starters here.

Game was very boring. In a good way. Flames kept it cool, mostly kept their heads, and kept their workskates on. Got a bit sloppy and tired in the 3rd (not a big surprise) but again used their gang mentality to seal the deal.

Great fun all around!!

Can really see the growth in him right now.

Surprising that Kuzmenko has only played 33 games for the Flames

Flames held Chicago to only 1 high danger chance in the 3rd!

Also, locker room post game loving Costco.

They shouldn't hesitate to give Yegor lots of practice time before throwing him in. Team is moving at a strong pace so get him to speed and then bleed him in.

Flames playing this like this is really enjoyable. I’m especially liking how Huberdeau has been playing. I’m hoping he can keep it up and finish the season as a point per game player

There was some pretty sketchy D-zone play tonight, but these guys put in the effort and are fun to watch!

Huberdeau, Martha, and the entire 4th line as a unit were standouts tonight. I thought Kadri and Coleman struggled.

Outside of Weegar, I thought the defense was really struggling to get the puck up the ice, but they did a good job keeping the puck from finding Hawk sticks in front of the net.

Wolf was great.

4-0 feels awesome!

I wanted Love when it was down to him and Huska. I was so wrong.

Proudly wearing one of the few Wolf Flames jerseys at the Dome.

It is the way he plays that is special. His lateral movement is lightning fast and positioning impeccable. He also drops into buttefly so quick to cover the entire bottom half of net. His glove hand is also fast. What is most surprising though is that he rarely has to make the highlight reel save in a 0.950+ save percentage game.

I thought he would take another year to settle into NHL...but that won't be necessary.

The Wolf era has begun in Calgary and is going to be sweet.

You can't argue with the work ethic of this team so far.

Did Coleman come back after he took a shot on the ankle?

Default Flames stay undefeated! 3-1 win over the Hawks

Wolfie will be the first #1 goalie we’ve drafted and developed since Trevor Kidd. Damn that’s a long time ago!

Really enjoyed watching the fourth line tonight. They played with great pace and aggression all over the ice. Special shoutout to Coronato who has the best regular season game I've see him play live. He was flying out there.

Wolf was so steady, it was great to see. I think we're going to be watching Bedard vs Wolf showdowns in international tournaments down the road someday. He looked dialled in for the Bedard challenge today.

Bahl has really grown on me. He made some clever offensive plays today. So far so good with him.

Keep rolling Flames!

Serious observation/question:

Is Conroy “moneyball”ing this team…?

Kipper was a genius but also Sutter’s dumb ass luck.

Glad to be where we are (credit to scouting) with Vladar, Wolf, Ignatjew and Cooley
