What brilliant strategy! Put McBaby and Pissy on the same line. No one ever thought of that before.

Can Emberson still win the Norris on the 3rd pairing?

not that going to McDavid-Draisaitl-Hyman is a shocker for any here (perhaps even I didn't have starting game 4 on my Bingo card, but..)

once you stack this line, the vaunted greatest forward depth in NHL history doesn't really feel that way anymore does it?

Podzolgin-Nuge-Arvidsson is now the 2nd line apparently

He'll win it as a 7th d-man.

You know who could really help that team get some swagger back? Kane. I think he may be the answer.

Yeah, I agree and who knew how important Cody Ceci was to the Oilers defense corps?

Skinner with 1 goal and 5 shots. Was their best player on Sunday, gets demoted to the 3rd line.

Welcome to the Connor and Leon show. Only our points matter.

Lol, Oilers going back to the well again by reuniting the wonder twins. It's hilarious that they just keep repeating the same s*** every season going on almost 9 years now.

Knoblauch is showing Oilers management that he can implement the new coach strategy so they won't replace him.

It would be so funny if Edmonton, thinking it is so clever trying to circumvent the cap*, ends up missing the playoffs.

*Disclaimer: Blah blah blah medical professionals determine it (before anyone defends it)

When people were going on about him getting 50 goals or whatever and being such a great signing this could be seen a mile a way.

How exactly is he going to put up numbers with no ice time or PP time?

I'm not surprised the Oilers are off to a slow start. Seems to happen to Cinderella teams who make the finals.

Pair that with maybe the worst roster management in NHL history, it was bound to happen.

There has to be someone in their 40s that could help?

Their starting line almost has the same cap hit as the Flames full forward roster.

Just doesn't happen in every market.

There were no flashy articles about the hidden gem in Bahl or Bean when they were acquired by the Flames this summer.

Nothing about Miromanov being this huge find that Vegas overlooked.

Just insane that this happens every off season.
Oilers acquire journeyman, 30-game Dman, Ty Emberson and immediately proclaim: "gonna win a Norris!"

...

scratched in game 3... for Travis Dermott!
