I know this is blasphemy as a Fedfan, but I bought Rafa's Air Max Breath Cage shoes that year, and I only just replaced them this year. There were a few years in there that they sat idle, but they were built like tanks and seeing the way he played back then makes you understand why.

If you have time go back and re-read the 2022 tennis thread here, it's a wonderful little time capsule of that event and it's crazy to think how much has changed. Sabalenka having serving troubles where she had to serve under arm, Shapo and Felix making deep runs. Shapo was down 2 sets to 0 against Nadal and forced a deciding 5th set in the quarters and Felix almost beat Medvedev in the semis. Also one of the first times any of us really watched Alcaraz who was ranked 31st and was 17 I believe at the time.

Also, it's tough to win over Aryna Sabalenka at the best of times, but when you hit 21 double faults, it's practically impossible.
Qinwen still has that crazy janky toss. She has the advantage of youth but if she ever wants to get over Mount Sabalenka as they're calling it, she's gotta overhaul that, maybe in the offseason.
Just wondering if any of my Calgary based friends are planning on attending the Calgary Challenger this week. Vasek is in action today as is Rebecca Marino.
