So should they be held responsible for people's stupidity? The majority of WWE fans are 14-26 yr old males who watch for the insane storylines and racy material so that's who they pander to.

Vince McMahon is a real person.

The characters on Lost are not.

There IS a difference. That's all I'm saying.

It is being investigated as a homicide. THere is some talk of murder suicide but I don't want to think of that.

If you follow wrestling, then you know that the "Mr. McMahon" character and Vince McMahon are separate characters. "Mr. McMahon" was killed off, while obviously Vince McMahon is still alive and well as seen by the beginning of RAW tonight.

I agree that you can not hold back storylines in case something unexpected happens and that this is truly something tragic that has happened to the WWE. My condolences for all who knew and loved Chris Benoit and his family.

Wow. I almost don't want to hear the details of this.

I used to watch wrestling, don't anymore. But 1 thing I remember was Benoit was really one of the best all around guys out there. Heard nothing but good things about him.

I remember the last time that Raw came to town I got to watch Chris in action. After the match Chris got an amazing standing ovation. He actually shed a tear over it. It was touching. If he did not have to go to the back we would have filled the entire show with just a standing O for him.
One of my best memories of him.

It isn't too far. It's a fictional show. I don't care if some people believe that it is real. If I believe that Law and Order is real should they stop having murder's on that show? If they wrote this murder into the show and used it as angle such as maybe so and so did that is crossing the line. As I said this is an unfortunate coincidence and the storyline would not have been an issue if not for the Benoit tragedy.

No way does a fake murder, that is obviously fake by the way, as a storyline in a show that depicts itself as entertainment cross the line.

I won't say anything else until they find out for sure if that was the case but if that's what it was, then I lost respect for the man.

EDIT: I just wanted to add that something must have been troubling Benoit for him to do this but to kill your wife and son, and then yourself is not an excuse (if indeed that is the case). That's a cowardly and gruesome way out.

WOW this new story also confirmed on wwe.com. " his wife Nancy and their son Daniel earlier today were the result of a double murder-suicide from within the home. WWE.com will have more as soon as it becomes available."

wow..i'm not much of a wrestling fan but this is awful. It was pretty quickly ruled a murder-suicide which seems pretty rare. There must be some sort of note or something really obvious to justify the announcement.

Why the hell did the WWE do a tribute show for a murderer? I'm sure they knew where it was heading. He was my favorite wrestler for many years but.. what the hell ?? I"m sure thats where Benoit is right now.

and i'm sure he was on the roids big time. His idol was the Dynamite Kid, my favorite wrestler of all time but he's paralyzed in a wheel chair from roid use.

wow...I hope not. If this is the case I think a lot of wrestlers will be wishing to take back what they said on the tribute tonight, and the WWE may want to do an anti-tribute next week.
