Here in the belly of the beast! Felt the crowds disappointment in the goaltender interference call. Warmed my heart. chiadenfreude is alive and well with me. Hoping for some second period magic

Isn't Edmonton supposed to have the best ice? Puck is bouncing all over the place in there.

I missed the crosscheck that Skinner delivered to the lower back when he won the puck on that goal from the scrum near the blue-line. I thought cross-checks to the lower back were an automatic call. That one resulted in the turnover that led to the goal.

Rules are one thing. Rule enforcement is a different thing.
This sets precedent for the season though (or should) on what is going to be called back

They let a lot slide if there is any contact with the defender which could be used as a reason why the opposing forward interferes with the goalie. Which was the case initially with Perry. But then the play cycled around and he put himself right back there and owned blue paint as his space in front of the shot. Can’t do that. Rarely you’ll see someone as dumb as Perry was here just hang there. He pushes the line every shift.

“This league needs more goals so we should just count them even if there is interference.”
Good logic by this clown.

So the argument for a goal is that the NHL needs more goals and if it was the Flames, we would have wanted it a goal.
